| This is all very well but what about the Wigan fans who like to spend the whole game abusing Wigan players?
It's disappointing that the club isn't looking after the scapegoating community. They deserve their own section too.
Lynch mob members registered with the club could even be allowed to bring in pitchforks and flaming torches if they promised only to use them on our own players....

That would work, but would be better if subdivided into sections for each individual scapegoat..with a prize for the player who gets the biggest support. Might have to allow transfers between sections in case fans change their allegiance mid-season, though...

I hear the Gelling section is already a complete sell out.

Record season ticket holders for 2014 if the club went ahead with that...

| Quote Sunshine state="Sunshine state"You know what! you wouldn't need a singing stand if the games were better with more intensity, the games against Saints Warrinton and Leeds are the only ones that offer this.'"
I've said this for ages. You can't force people to sing at games if they don't want to or if there's no reason to. Back in 2006, the atmosphere was electric pretty much every week because we were fighting for our lives on a weekly basis. Now, ironically, we're a much better side, but the atmosphere has tailed off. We have little to play for now, and that is down to the league structure. We know we'll finish in the top 8, so what's the point? We know we'll beat the likes of Salford/London/Widnes etc, and even if we somehow don't, it doesn't matter. Getting rid of P&R and having a top 8 playoffs was a massive step backwards for the sport in terms of competitiveness. I say that not as a bleeding heart traditionalist, but as a fan of a top 4 side.
Recent history has told us that you don't need to do well at any point before about mid May, and if you do, it can get you sweet FA come the business end of the season. We've practically become like American Football with a season that lasts practically 5 minutes! All this has impacted on the atmosphere at games.
I for one can't wait until 2015. The new structure has the potential to be competitive throughout the season. The top teams will not want to take a backwards step if the criteria for the playoffs is something sensible like top 4, the middle teams will want to break into either that top 4 or the top 8 to stay in SL1 and the lower teams will be wanting to break into SL1 and play with the big boys.
It may well turn out to be a good idea by the club though, if they give 2014 a chance to "bed in" a singing section ready for the 2015 season.

I swear, lots of people round me swear.......but theres a difference between swearing that comes out as a result of frustration, and blatent organised swearing by a large crowd.
I tolerate it, but i dont like it.

B*llocks, swearing is swearing.
In fact, I find one person swearing loudly in a crowd far more offensive than for example, the song we usually sing at Wire.

| I think it's a good idea. The support needs a togetherness again, Souths have had great sucess with it. I remember it being very similar to how we supported in 2011, mainly those Cup games.
The more people on board the better the idea would develop. If people aren't happy with the atmosphere, which I know most aren't ... Here's a chance to do something about it.

| anything that picks up the atmosphere would be a good idea and anything that helps us cheer on the lads is a great idea. everyone complaining about the performances not warranting the chanting should consider the idea that cheering on our team may actually help the lads. sometimes they need the little boost by knowing the fans are behind them 100% and may put in a little extra effort on the pitch!
with the swearing, that is just part and parcel of going watching a live sport. if you are offended then you are fully entitled to be but you cant enforce that offence on anyone else. Fair play if you don't want your kids to hear swear words but you cant enforce on someone else your own views on what they can or cannot say because you don't like it, however much you would like to. (I do make an exception to racism which has no place in society, never mind a rugby ground).

gratuitous swearing by an individual with a limited vocabulary in a crowd is offensive...i agree on that one.
But anyone can let slip a swear word when a bit excited....i can let that go.
which catagory do you place organised swearing in?
by the way..the Warrington song i have no problem with..it doent actually contain a swear word?
Its the "5 times in a row" thats offensive, with its repeated and gratuitous use of the F word....when other words would fit just as good
