Consistency and Rugby League decisions are not good bedfellows. Two of the seven games will have the"benefit" of the video referee, the other five will not.

| I have had enough of putting things on report. It would have been better for both Hull and us if Westerman got sent off as the sending off is usually taking into account when the dish out the sentences. For me its 2 game ban but if he got sent off that should have been taken into account. Listening to Child on tv during the re run on SKY he says he has seen the contact but does not know what part of Westerman body made contact.
That is lies he saw nothing at all wrong as he was going to his position for the next play the ball when he noticed Eric was knocked out. He then sees it on TV screen when we react to it and then cops it totally out as not to look like a muppet and says he has seen the initial contact but not the part of his body Westerman used. Reason i believe this is i was virtually in line with the hit in row DD East stand and i noticed Childs ran to his position for the next BTP. When you listen to the coverage on SKY he makes it up so he can give us a penalty and safe face. I was in line of the hit by Westerman and at normal speed i saw nothing wrong with it at first but after seeing it on the screen its an obvious red card. So how could Child give a penalty and not send him off when its bloody obvious he missed it and only gave the decision after seeing it on the screen.

20333_1393344959.gif Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_20333.gif |

| Eddie Hemmings made a stupid remark on sky when this happened, something along the lines of
"Luauki deserves everything he gets for running in like that"

| Quote: Wigan Peer "I don't like this type of "tackle", and this is my reason. I think its cowardly.
You are only in any real danger of injuring your opponent, not yourself, because you don't put your head into the tackle. I'm sure people can cite instancies when the tackler has been injured, and players saying "its part of the game". But after one of these tackles which has been "Mistimed", its almost always the tackled person on the deck, and normally with a head injury. The tackle being talked about last night deserves to be punished because the arm was away from the body when it made contact. Where does a "shoulder charge" stop, and a "swinging arm" start?'"
Agree completely. Pathetic, lazy attempt at a "tackle".

Fasavalu leaves the field and Bailey spends the rest of the game avoiding James Graham?

| I don't agree with banning the shoulder charge, it's a good hit when done properly (ie below the neck). The rule is (or should be) simple - any forceful contact to the head or neck, no matter with which part of the body, should be a red card.

| Going OT slightly I love the shoulder charge when done properly such as Tommy and the Sam Burges against the Kiwi (whose name I cant spell). But if done wrong and it heads the head then sending off, also I think any tackle that hits the head should be at least a sin bin. Give it a month then every tackle will be text book.

If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.:icons39ad_files/4821-1859san_c-msnicons.jpg |

Good point about the sin bin....

68153_1344079532.jpg I'm 46 and I've had triple heart bypass surgery but, I could still put in a pretty good performance at International Rugby Union. I wouldn't last two minutes in Rugby League. - Graeme Lowe:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_68153.jpg |

| Eric does seem to Kop some belters in his face, but to be fair he walked off like a trooper, think Westerman was lucky especially as he was 2nd man in the tackle. Looked horrible in slow motion and to me (and Sam T) it was more his elbow which could probably cause more damage than a shoulder.

Romain Navarrete: “I’m very happy to have signed for Wigan Warriors. As soon I knew that Wigan were interested, they were the only team that I wanted to sign for. To me, Wigan is the biggest Club in Rugby League and it will be an honour to pull on the famous Cherry-and-White jersey next year. I look forward to working with Shaun Wane and the players at Wigan.”:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10172.jpg |

| How can it be ok to use a shoulder charge fairly below the neck, but 6 inches higher is a red card? That then depends on the height of the player being tackled: so if he's short, or is dipping into the tackle, or being tackled and going down, what could have been a fair challenge becomes a sending-off. Too tight to call, and open to too much 'opinion'.

Exactly the same rule as for an arm tackle. When was the last time someone was penalised for a swinging arm to the chest?

There is an argument for that, but personally I believe that they should use the best evidence available to them.

Exactly spot on! it makes the tackler to make sure he uses the correct method. I know it will sometimes be mistimed but the responsibility is on the tackler.

Give it a month discussions will be very rare instead of after every match.
