I thought Montpelier was a great place and really looking forward to going back there. It didn,t help last time with the unseasonal weather and that the Union team had unexpectedly got through to the final in Paris, I am sure this must have affected the crowd. Some great beaches just down the coast and I will be making at least a weeks holiday out of it, maybe even 2!

Looking at it from the other side though, if you're a Catalan fan you'd surely want all your home games played "at home". Other teams don't play "home" matches at various venues throughout the season, why should they? (Obviously Saints was a different issue, and us at Bradford was forced).We are playing against Catalan in a league fixture, for me the game should be played in their ground (or as near to as possible), otherwise I think it's unfair on their supporters who turn up every week. Also as has been said, Barcelona isn't a rugby league area, why is there a desire for it in that area if most just travelled from existing RL areas to see the match?

well thats made the decision of whether or not doing the trip next year nailed on as a no for me. Granted the weather didn't help but the ground was just to far out from everything, not for me I'm afraid

Wasn't there talk a while ago about having a team in Barcelona playing at the Mini Estadi next door to the Nou Camp? Has this just died a death now?

They had a team in the Catalonian Championship for one of the two years it ran. They ended up 4th in 2010 but it was largely the union team trying out rugby league. I haven't heard anything for a while about the 'Campionat de Catalunya' but I'd be very surprised to see it resurrected.

Ground is a fair way out but thought the free trams and buses to get there were suberb, and loads to do in the city centre, much more than Perpignan.

Don't think we will make it this year, did not enjoy the trip last year and main holiday booked in June, found the trip expensive last year.

Didnt even get to look around the city last year. only got there a few minutes to kick off.
