I don't see how it couldn't be.

| Quote XBrettKennyX="XBrettKennyX"The Grand Final is the game that decides the champions of Super League. You may dislike the current format, but coming top of the regular rounds is not the prize.
Every team knows this at the start of the competition.
I really don't understand how some people cannot grasp this simple point. It's not even a debate, it's a fact.'"
Correct, and this was my point last season when we were celebrating it.
The 27 rounds are basically a qualifying tournament for the playoffs. Wire have qualified in 1st and get the supposed simpler route in that they get a home semi final against an opponent of their choice. Not hard to understand.
Apparently though they'll be remembered as league winners and not the Grand Final winners (providing it isn't them of course)

If it isn't a prize then why have the LLS? Warrington have won the league, the league is now over with for this season. Now we are moving onto a completely different thing in the Playoffs and GF.
It's fairly simple to grasp.

Coming top of the regular rounds is a prize in and of itself.

They aren't a separate competition though are they? They're an extension of the same competition in the same way as the knockout stages of the World Cup.
Will people remember the 4 group winners of the RU World Cup, or the final winners?
Do people remember who comes 3rd in the Championship or the team that is promoted to the Premiership via the playoffs?
Will people remember Wire as the 2011 Super League winners or the winners of the Grand Final?
Who were classed as league winners in 2000 when we came top and Saints won the Grand Final?

The first two examples you have given are pretty poor considering neither of them teams are awarded with something, unlike Warrington. I also understand that the team who wins the league doesn't usually get remembered if they fail to go on and win the Grand Final, but thats more down to a problem with the competition as a whole.
The point people were making that, is that Warrington haven't won the league, when the clearly have. They are League Winners of 2011.

Here was me thinking there was 3 things you could win in a season.
The Shield being the lesser of the 3.

Are you on the wind up here or do you really not get it?
The "League" does not exist as a competition in itself anymore. The Grand Final has replaced this.
The league determines the play order of the playoffs. That's it.

That isn't it, clearly, since the league determines the LLS.

So Warrington still haven't won the league and we can continue singing that song next season?

The clue's in the name. Wire are League leaders, not winners. It's only a word but it's pretty significant in this case. Like the Callenge Cup 'Champions'. The league winners are the team that win the GF.
