I feel very optimistic about Josh Charnley as a centre as well as Joel Tomkins. Both have the potential to be potent centres for us. It also gives us another year to see what the market is like for a centre. This is fantastic news.
However the problem does not go away. We still need a replacement centre. We just have more time. |

Carmont has been the best centre in Super League this year. However as well as he has played it's a sad indictment of the rest of the centres over here (especially the British ones)
One more year is fine by me, and as I have stated previously he is the only player I would keep at Wigan at that age.

Hopefully the centre market will open up a little and somebody will stand out as an option. That simply hasn't happened this year so signing Carmont on again was a must.
Trying to think of potential options down the line I do like the looks of Arundel at Cas aswell as the options we've got like Charnley and Joel. |
