I hope this thread is a wind up because if it is not then I just don't understand threads like this - we won the GF last year - we are joint top this year (with a game in hand) and still player get slagged off. Go figure!

For mine Coley has done a very good job for the team in the last two seasons - even this year he has still done a solid if unspectacular - what more do we need? All champion teams have the grafters, if he is a plodder then let us hope we can find another plodder when he finishes.

not really, unless im reading everything wrong, it seems the opposite, people are raving about ratchford

Couldnt agree more, the dominant Melbourne team had 4 props who were grafters (exception with Blair switching to prop)

Not slagging Fielden off as he was pretty solid last season, but to say he was sensational is OTT.

I said some of his performances were sensational - Hull and Huddersfield at home and Leeds away to name a few. Overall however I'd still rate his year as more than solid.

Everything he does is damaging. Whilst he has not hit the form of last year he has still been very good for us. The St George game he took the best pack in club rugby on, on his own and held his own.

Massively impressed with him in that game, he was outstanding.

I'd describe him as an "unsung hero".

From Wigan players Stevo will always choose Paddy, Sam, Tommy or Lockers for MOTM and I'm not suggesting that these players are undeserving as they are all consistently good for us but I've sometimes thought other players have been as deserving or more deserving in certain matches. Andy Coley has been one of those. George Carmont another.

what a load of rubbish this thread is! Andy coley has not got a lot of fans and I cant understand why. I agree he is not spectacular, but he has been over the last 4 years a lot more consistent than any of our current props. He is an out an out work horse who every now and again has a blinder. He was outstanding in the St George game, a real leader on the pitch. Unfortunately I think his ageing body is preventing him from putting in that sort of performance week in week out howver he still remains solid.

Madge obviously rates him as Coley has never been dropped from the team whilst Magde has been in charge and most of the time Coley is in the starting 13. I prefer Madges opinion on the players than some strange opinions of them on here.

Coley has been a good signing for Wigan .
