That sums it up very succinctly. He is a muppet who can't referee.

| I honestly think that he refereed the game o.k. Both sides were up on the "offside line". He let the game flow, what did we want a penaltyathon?
He DID have a word with Sam Tomkins about the tackle on Morris.

| Quote: 007 "Why wasn't Tomkins.S handed a similar treatment after the first St.George try for use of the knees into the Aussie player while said Aussie was on the floor, and his head butt in the second half,or Mcillorum in the second half for a blatant stamp ito the chest of a prone St.George tackler,a professional foul deserves binning, the above two players were cowardly and deserved a harsher punishment, maybe they'll get it?'"
The use of the knees happens ALL THE TIME on those tries to the outside. McIlorum was clearly just trying to play the ball - it's not his fault the St George tackler wouldn't get out of the way.

| I couldn't go to the game last night but I can understand why people who attended thought he did ok. He let the game flow at times. But it was the changing of his mind all the time, he didn't know when it was 4th or 5th on a couple of occasions and he obviously had a word in his ear about a couple of decisions that he didn't see too.
I'm not saying he was biased though because he was rubbish for both sides.

Which is why he should never have been appointed in the first place. Just for the sake of appointing a neutral ref does not mean you should appoint one who loses count of the tackles!

| If he had of stamped on the offsides early the game would of flowed beteer he made a rod for his own back by not blowing for pens in the first few mins
how he was awarded that game il never knowi know he was "neutral" but his standard is very poor.
luckily the reason wigan lost was poor defensive choices and nothing the ref did

| Thought Alibert was reasonable, he certainly reffed the game better than Silverwood last year.
He made mistakes each way. Noted that he warned Andy Coley 3 times to speed up getting off the tackle, should really have pinged him. Also gave you 2 dubious penalties when they were 6 yds from your line, even mentioned by Phil Clarke. SGI got away with stuff aswell.
Speed and intensity was by far and away higher than anything else witnessed this year. Both teams played some fantastic rugby league and as a neutral it was a great game to watch.

| He is a shocking ref, but it didn't affect the result luckily, still a great occasion. The worst decision for mine was when 2 SGI players were tackling one of the Wigan players, they took him to the floor and as he got up he shouted "Play on" before changing his mind, and awarding a Wigan penalty after the SGI players completed the tackle that they were apparently supposed to do...

| He was poor for both teams and it didnt affect the result. The worse thing I thought he did was there was several times when the St George players werent getting back in line with him so he was actually stepping forward so that he was in line with where the players were standing. Think the occasion got to him a bit imo, he was getting a bit flustered and people have already mentioned the losing track of the tackle count etc. The best team won however and I am just proud of Wigan for giving it such a good go against some of the best players in the world. Would love to get a crack at them next year with Richards, Finch, Lima and Fielden all fit/available.

| Quote: post "If this bloke was called John Jones from Thatto Heath he would still be reffing over the park.
Countless times St George were a mile offside and he let them off, he went as far as stepping forward to play them onside in the second half. Plus the countless times he never had a clue what was goin on e.g. Sam getting cleaned out infront if him and only blowing up when someone had a word in his ear piece, the mans a joke. St George were too good and didn't need any favours.'"
took a dive,thought he was a footballer
