| The kids pen ?
Bloody hell that was a frightening place when you are 7.
Thank God my Dad was there to get me out.
Nearly as bad as the ABC minors.

My Dad used to do the same for me.
Don't remember when I actually started having to pay to get in.
Think I was about 18.

| Quote What was a shilling as a % of an average working mans pay back then?
Just to compare, like.'"
Not sure what the average wage was then on account of being a small boy, but in comparison junior admission price has gone up from 3d to £5 (for the big one). With eighty 3d's in a pound that means the current price is 400 times more expensive. I don't think wages have gone up that much.

| Quote Wigan/Leeds Andy="Wigan/Leeds Andy"St Pats corner - just under the scoreboard.'"
I was always led to believe the Hen Pen was the middle section, not the corner? If you look at old Central Park pics you will see a walled off section starting at the tunnel going towards the popular side, about 20metres wide. Byt the time I started going it wasn't officially in use any more so I might well be wrong.

Yes the turnstiles were just to the left of the old clubhouse. It was just left of centre.

Have you seen him lately he looks like that Jack Nicholson from the film The Shining.
PS: is he on here?
