| Have to disagree, he did very little wrong for me, certainly not a massive problem in defence.
I think people look for too much from Feka to be honest and are overly critical.
As i have noted Amos who had a poor game and Feka have got there own critical threads, yet Joel Tomkins who was shocking tonight goes under the radar for some resason.

Joel was poor and its been noted by some including me, but as with all youngsters developing you have to expect good and bad games. Last week against Leeds he was good, tonight not so much.

That's true, but he was in many people's top 3s against Hull KR. I refrained from saying anything then as I don't believe in knocking players, especially youngsters, but he did much the same in that game, giving away penalties, errors with the ball etc. It was very much masked by the win. I find it interesting that those crying out for him as our LF are no longer much in evidence and rightly so. He's a youngster learning his trade and is by no means the finished article.

| First half vs Leeds he was poor as well, i personally think he is going to struggle to be a Wigan career player.

I think he has all the attributes but he is prone to brain explosions. The LF was a complete red herring in my opinion as he doesn't have the neccessary skill set. I think he needs to learn when to pass the ball (he has been guilty, both tonight and in previous matches, of blowing opportunities which, because they weren't 'clear cut' have gone largely unnoticed/uncommented on) and to concentrate on his ball retention. I do think he has the makings of a good player though. Maybe he's being a little overhyped though. I was amazed to see one poster recently touting him as 'a future Wigan Captain' based on the fact that he ran in when Mossop was manhandled in the Leeds game! Talk about over stating a case!

I think Joel just had one of those games as did Roberts(as i've posted and stuck up for him on that thread) but i started the thread about Feka because i believe he's got a weekly issue and that issue is a lack of fitness.
You can't tell me you don't believe he needs to work on his fitness?
If he shed a stone and a half he wouldn't lose any of his power as seen at the back end of last year and could possibly do a few more minutes(but i don't see that as a huge issue anyway).

| In attack Feka was "blitzed" by Saints tonight, they didnt let him have room to breathe.
In defence he was good, he busted his to get back into the defensive line.
As has been said, he was far from a problem tonight, Joel Tomkins on the other hand...

What i saw was a Prop who made yards every time he got the ball, he ran from too flat at times but still put us on the front foot even then. Our backrow let us down tonight not our frontrow for a change in my opinion. From the comments on the first page they make out Feka had a poor game I really do not agree, thought he put in a good performance along with the rest of the frontrow.
I just wonder if Feka was born in Wigan if he would get half the stick he does, when he is clearly our most effective gamebreaking forward.

Agreed yet he still made good yards and still found his front on every play. I am not sure what more people can ask of the lad.
I sometimes think the only time people will praise him is if he runs over the full team and goes the full length of the field to score under the post and then slot the kick as well.

Possibly not but it's not a witch hunt from me because the guy isn't a Wiganer.
He's one of my favourite players but overall i thought he was poor tonight(i know not everyone agress on that score and thats fair enough). I think it was just a quiet night at the office for him.
I'd would though like to see him get fitter and shed some weight. I believe if he did even on his rare quiet nights we could say 'well at least he defended well and put a shift in'.
I just didn;t think he did that tonight.

| Would you take away any power from Feka by trimming the blubber off him? Course not. How power comes from his leg, and taking a stone of that flab off and adding half a stone of pure muscle will make him a better player.
Get him running up and down Rivvie Pike.
