Im glad he has gone out on loan to a SL club, but I hope that he gets some first team action as its a wasted move if he just ends up playing in their reserves, because he could do this here.

He is a great prospect and a player that has a really exciting future. We wouldnt be stupid enough to let him go permanently.

It's defo not a rule regarding every loan deal as you point out with Ste Tyrer.

Our league postition tells me that the players Huddersfield have are already superior to what we have, so surely the lad should be in our 17 each week?

You could argue Bailey, but Hansen and Joel might have something to say about that.

It's not as simple as you suggest. We have a wealth of backrowers. Even Hansen and Joel are not guaranteed first team action each week, and that's good because it's a sign that we have a competitive squad. Pitch Mossop in there as well and maybe you're asking too much of him.

If Huddersfield think they can accommodate him more readily, all well and good. Just because they're higher up the league, it's not a given that their 11-13 are better than ours. In fact, I'd argue that they aren't. I'd argue there are few back rows in the comp as good as ours (or at least with as many decent players vying for three positions).

None of our back rowers have direct shooting places IMO for the starter positions. This includes Hock who is more of an impact player.

Some clubs have hardly any quality younger players, like Huddersfield.
Wigan have an abundance.
Mossop is clearly being trained up to first team standard, the fact that he's on loan for a period to help with his training is excellent.
Noble would send out more than Mossop if he could find takers.
Trouble is most clubs are now, mid season, up to their SC limit or what they can afford.
