Do not want to get accused of a anti Noble post but it is very very rare 2 people with a coach athlete relationship stay together for so long and have success.
The situation can result in stagnation and i think that is one of the issue with Fielden. |

All in all, i dont think Wigan wil renew his contract, im sure we have him until the end of 2010 though. Signed a 4 year deal IIRC.

I don't think that Fielden's heart has ever been at Wigan. When his contract ends, he will return to Bradford, or possibly Leeds, and look to regain his form and passion.

Yeah we can say that now but when we signed him not many people thought he wasn't worth that wage. It's hardly his fault Uncle Mo threw money at him. Having said that sometimes I think he isn't earning his wage but most I think he does, IMO he can be the most hard-working player for Wigan - although that statement is laughable if you take into account the stats from Leeds.
I want Fielden to stay, I just think he needs more help in the front row. Feka doesn't do long enough for me - granted he works hard when he's on and he makes some terrific runs and yards but IMO he needs to work harder on his match fitness. We need a new prop. |
