I can't say it bothers me anymore. I have just about given up any expectation of the current club/team doing anything of note. I suspect nothing will change until there is a considerable clearout of playing and coaching staff becuse neither inspires any confidence whatsoever.

If Wigan do achieve something this season (you never know we may get a really, really easy run in the CC) then I'll be pleasantly surprised. Otherwise I suspect we will sneak into the play-offs again like last season (especially if other teams fall away at the last like last season) and then paper over the cracks by getting to the semi-fianls or something.

...Oh, and another thing that's annoying. People at work who semi-support Wigan calling me asking 'what went wrong?'. I bored of explaining it to them.

Massive hype quickly followed up by a crushing let-down has happened all too often with Wigan rugby as of late. I'm getting used to not letting it ruin the week.

If I were you I'd be less concerned in drawing comfort from the occasional victory you've managed to secure against our bunch of crapsters, and more concerned in avoiding a mega-humiliation at the hands of Manly. They're still hurting from when we turned them over in what was basically the last real WCC played on these shores, and are more than likely to take it out on you lot. So you'll need to improve 100% on last Friday's performance, and your top men will need to improve 200% on their role in the World Cup debacle.

Wigan never fail to disappoint me.

Nope. Things I currently have to worry about:

1. Whether my family in Australia are ok
2. Whether I will still have a job next month
3. Anything associated with my wedding
4. Paying my mortgage

I watch Wigan matches as a bit of light relief from the rest of the week, the last thing I need is to start getting myself worked up about that as well.

It really got me down. But I still can't wait for Friday
