| Quote kirkamania6="kirkamania6"I miss Fletcher
we really haven't replaced him. Mossop will most likely be that player who plays prop and 2nd row for us with next season being his breakthrough year most likely. The reason I say 2 props is Fielden and Coley are just not up to it. Fielden will be here next season so we will only get one prop for next season. Luke Bailey would be my preference but I think we will end up with Andy Lynch (no idea why btw) Asotasi will be off contract at the same time as Fielden and I would really like to us to go for him (unless we got an overseas prop to replace Coley) but again I doubt it and we will probably either resign Fielden or get LMS/someone similar'"
Why the "probably"?
I mean you may be right, but the club's management would have to be completely stupid, and thus far they don't strike me as that.

I think I was talking about signing LMS/Someone similar as well (ie english)
But Fielden will probably play well next season because he wants a new contract and if he does I can see the club giving him one, especially if Noble is still coach

| Quote There is a lot of speculation going around at the moment about your supposed desire to return back to Yorkshire in the near future, Now should you be offered the opportunity of such a deal would it be likely to do happen?, Also given the chance would you consider joining the Leeds Rhinos and reuniting your partnership with Jamie Peacock?'"
That's my question i wonder if it will be published?...

The interesting thing re. Stuart is that, while everyone's calling him crap, it would be interesting to see how much money would be required to change hands were he actually to transfer somewhere.
I can't see that Wigan would want to part with the guy on a free when it may just be that he's homesick, and so, the moment he gets over the Penines, could start ripping the league up again.
A lot of people who are not Wigan fans are calling him - and have been doing since the moment we signed him - simply because he's at Wigan. But you wonder how they'd feel if he was suddenly joining their club.
I'd agree that he's not done a sterling job for us, and therefore is on way too much money, but I can't help suspecting that if, say in a month or two's time, he was lining up against us, we might see a very different animal.

He just seems to have lost the fight really, I can sympathise as I believe he carried our pack single handedly the season he arrived, and since then every team has just sent men after men onto him the safe knowledge that if they negate fielden, our pack fails.
If you put him into st helens, leeds or even warringtons pack, he would still look a very good player with the right coach as well. He's justt carrying too much on his shoulders and its taken its toll.

I was a bit gutted that fielden didn't go to aus for the world cup tbh, i wanted to see how he'd perform with a better pack surrounding him.

That's an interesting point, I think I'd take him at Saints, but on a low amount of money, to see if a change of scenery would work for him. I've thought all along that he was one of those players that needed a change of scenery to refresh his career, but unfortunately for him he signed to a club with his old coach at the helm. a move to a completely different environment may have had a different result. Of course, the cost of him in both wages and transfer fees has had an influence on peoples reactions to his downward spiral.
I don't buy the homesick argument though, if he was that bad there is no reason he couldn't live over there and drive to work each day, it's only an hour and a half drive. Newlove did it for long enough with us.
