| Quote: WarriorSteve "Because the wire have sold more than 8k for the semi and that is weeks away. Yet only 2k sold for a top of the table clash...
I remember earlier in the season wire taking 5-7k to saints for that clash because they thought it was there "chance" to beat saints.. Are wire fans not feeling too confident about Friday? and this is affecting sales?(Like saints fans did a few weeks ago for the Derby).
I really want a sell out for this game as the DW is a great standium when full for big games and to do that we need warrington to sell out the north stand...'"
To be fair the semi is alot bigger then this.
You might have a point about not being confident I don't know but I remember a few calling Saints before your derby and then they bought alot more on the day so still time yet.

I thought you were having a dig at our Marketing team which I think has been superb. The 18K sold only relates to Wigan sales. Wigan would have said what overall sales were but I suspect Wire have not told us what their sales are.
I therefore found your post to be a tad ironic.

No it doesn't - its total sales.
See below:
Quote: EastStandFaithful "24k to sell in total
According to most we have sold 2k of 5k
Wigan have just under 2.5k left of around 19k when you take away our 5k

| I think we'll get 23K+
I'm sure Wire will bring at least 4K and the Wigan sales will top the 19K mark

I (and you) was unsure of the capacities and numbers, so what was ironic about my post? I see no irony whatsoever in the post.

I was thimking it was just a other league game for two points and not a cup semi or playing a team we can never seem to get a win over.

| Wire had sold just under 2,000 tickets as of yesterday.
I expect many will buy their tickets at the Cas match tomorrow, and some will pay on the day.
23 - 24K should be attainable.

It's whatever you want it to be, some may see it like that, others may not.

You can't compare the semi to the Wigan game to be fair. They are completely different events, and people will have purchased their semi tickets well in advance to get the seats they want.
People know that there will be tickets available for the Wigan game right up until late next week, and maybe even some pay on the door. I wouldn't be surprised if there is another thousand sold tomorrow tbh with there being a home game, and that amount sold almost a week in advance would be very good indeed.
During the past couple of weeks people have been buying tickets for the semi, Crusaders and now the Wigan game coming up. Many people won't buy tickets for two matches at a time, and will have budgeted to buy their Wigan tickets this week.
Personally, IMHO almost 2k tickets sold a week in advances is very good, and certainly more than I would have expected, and I would still expect 4-5k. Wigan is always my favourite away game of the year, gutted I can't make it.

First off all I am totally clear on the capacity of the stadium and of the Wigan and Wire ends. If you read my previous posts in this thread you will see I have stated the capacity is 24048 and the North Stand (Wire end holds 5402).
The irony was in that you seemed to be having a dig at the fact Wigan having only published sales of their end - maybe because Warrington have not told us what they have sold.
The irony is that this is a ground breaking game from a marketing perspective with Wigan mounting a telesales campaign 6 weeks before the game and also advertising on TV. Sorry just noticed you are in Edinburgh so you will not have seen the tv adverts (Granada only).

Sorry, clumsy terminology on my part, when I said and you I meant unsure of the numbers (as has been highlighted the numbers include home and away sales), it was me who cocked up the capacities, as I didn't realise the Wire stand was as big as it is.
My post certainly wasn't a criticism of the marketing team, merely asking a question, which was then explained around the stand capacities. The reason there is no irony in the post is because that wasn't my intention at all, even if it may have been taken that way.
I managed to see the ads online, although obviously not seen them on Granada, although my dad was telling me about it the other day.

| I tried 3d in Comet today and thought it was quite good but I am not sure people will take to the fancy specs though.
