All Hull did in that Wardle incident is apply what Wigan have consistently done for the last couple of years. Basically, anyone that's remotely near the sideline, they'll get gangtackled and dragged into touch. It's utter garbage and the rule needs changing. I really don't see what's skilful about 5 6 7 or more players throwing someone into touch as soon as the ball goes wide. If its Gordon Tallis esque on Hodgson (have a look on YouTube to remind you of that one) then that's entirely different and takes individual Great strength. Big difference.

Three blank weekends for Wigan between now and mid-June, so I expect full strength sides giving 100% each and every week, with no half-a-rsed performances like there were yesterday.  Peet should also be putting a back on the bench as the forwards should be able to last a bit longer than 15 mins at a time with the week off in the CC weekends.

IMO the tactic is fair enough, but doesn't the ball-carrier need to have feet on the ground? My understanding was, that if a player is lifted so that his feet are off the ground, the ref needs to call Held immediately. So as long as that rule is fairly applied, I don't have a problem with it.
