To answer your question- because ultimately the players didn't care enough. Go back to a first past the post system or put more emphasis on finishing in the top places and Wigan, Leeds and Wire would finish 1st, 2nd and 3rd in some order.

answer, the bookies can read between the lines of regular season and what will happen in the playoffs.

If Saints had kept 13 on the field v Hudds they'd have put 30+ past the Giants.
They were 10-0 up and in total control when Walmsley departed.
If we can replicate the second half v Wire for an hour v Hudds then we'll win.
Whether we can do that I don't know and that's why I'm going to the game.

Haha Jack H,I didn't predict a loss but I thought hudds where our worst possible match up,and I wasn't the only one.
My predictions are- Saints to win narrowly,Wire to hammer Widnes and Leeds to beat Catalans,but I'd take Catalans on the handicap because I don't think it will be easy.
