Not sure I agree with those analogies especially Hanley being Laudrup....Laudrup was undoubtedly a fine player but I've never heard him discussed as the greatest of all time which Hanley is a candidate for.
In terms of footballers (I'm not limiting myself to Barca or Real players here) Hanley is Pele or Maradona.
Farrell is more like Alan Shearer.
Tomkins is a young player with exciting potential like some of the Germans eg Ozil.
Offiah is probably in the category of someone like Platini.

In the last twenty years Man United have dominated English football with only a handful of brief breaks with Arsenal and Chelsea overtaking them. Wigan in that time period were dominant at first but since 1996 have only won two titles (although of course we at Warrington credit you with three as you were the champions in 2000). |
