Something he's been guilty of over the whole tournament.'"
So it's all sinfield and wilkins fault?
Wilkin can be a big threat with being used on the inside. Hes not big enough to be taking the Aussies on down the middle SMS would end up like o'loughlin at international level by being put on his ass every hit up.

No, but when you have the country's most dangerous attacking player on your shoulder you'd think you'd use him once in a while. Not blaming Wilkin at all, he's being given the ball. More Sinfield's judgement in attack late in a set whilst in the opponents twenty.

i would say some not all as he has installed a self blief within the sqaud and by the sounds of it got rid of club click's,, but then we should have ployed the aussie tatics of trying some moves from are 40m line but we here it all the time completion rate but gareth ellis got it right its not how you complete your sets its what you do within them.

I think it's pretty harsh on McNamara. Except for tonight he's had us looking pretty good, more confident and more balanced than weve been in recent years.
I didn't want him as coach and not sure ibdo now but I think he's done pretty well this four nations.
He's also put some very good things in place off the field. The exiles game was all his idea and personally begged super league clubs to back his idea and IMO is great concept.
The England knights programme is also his idea and is great for the players just on the brink of breaking into the first team squad as all the same metics are used which makes the step up more easy.

| Cameron Smith what a joy it is to watch him play. I know Thurston gets all the plaudits, but when you really watch Smith in detail everything he does is exceptional. The rugby brain that man has is immense.
Why we lost? We got smashed in the forwards and as a result had little possession and field position, plus coupled with our terrible kicking game all conspired to our downfall. As for our backs receiving terrible ball, that was just a consequence of getting beat up in the forwards and being on the back foot from minute one.
Our inability to wrap the offload up from Aussies irritated me the most tonight. It's basic stuff that lets us down the majority of the time.

Fair enough and I agree, we didn't give Sam the ball in the position that makes him such a threat.

Wilkin was the first player in the England team to pass to Tomkins.
Tomkins had a quiet game whichever way you look at it and no matter how you try and stick up for him. But he wasn't the only one. And some players had an awful game, especially in defence.
IMO there are two fundamental problems with the England team: we don't have enough players of the right standard and we drool over the Aussies way, way too much, giving them way too much respect.

In the first half they only had marginally more possession than we did (I haven't seen the stats for the second half). We just did begger all with the possession we had, and gave it away cheaply sometimes too.

| Thought this header might have popped up on the Warrington board
Really cannot believe how myopic some people are. quite simply, Sam Tomkins is the most exciting product to come out since Sean Edwards. The Lad is simply class, but, when you play a player out of position, you will be caught out. You may get away with it in SL, but against the Aussies, you will not. We've done it in the past with Farrell and Sculthorpe, and now Sinfield...ffs, they are forwards!!
Tomkins, is the only player the Aussies fear, hence, his treatment tonight, everytime he got the ball, he was nailed. Put him at halfback and give the oppo something to think about.
Do this and Wigan will tie up the title by August. He is wasted at fullback.

| Quote: NickyKiss "Lots will blame Tomkins whereas if say the lad was lucky not to lose us the game and it was actually lost by appalling performances from Sinfield and Chase again. They simply didn't do their jobs even though they were given opportunities to and they let the rest of the side down including Tomkins who was given no quality ball to try and make up for some early woeful fullback play that he got away with.
Truth is though they're easily better then us. This rubbish that we have better forwards was brushed aside tonight with Gallen, Thaiday and Smith dismantling our pack.
They attack to a structure that we don't. Wigan copied it for the past 2 years and it beared fruit. England tonight had the structure of an under 8's side and the halfbacks take the majority of blame.'"
Spot on.

It was a 60 - 40 split in Australia's favor at the 30 minute mark.

Well the halftime stat was something like 51-47 in Australia's favour.
