Quote: Lippy "I may be wrong, but Cross got up after one of his drives holding his face. My first impression was that he was covering his eye, the trainer came on to check and went off indicating he was OK to carry on. Now I was watching Cross closely and I am not 100% sure but I thought that Cross shot out the line to hit with his shoulder on the same player that tackled him when he came out holding his face/eye. I may be wrong (often am according to the wife) but it looked like something had gone on and it was pay back. Was it about five minutes late and Cross was taken off??
On a side note, just his physical presence added something to our team last night.'"

He did hang back to get attention looked like a slap/finger in the eye.

*It would be a joy to watch Ben Cross and Josh Perry face each other in the play-off Semi Finals. Like being back in the good old days watching Tamati vs Dowling, or Dowling vs Boyd. This is unlikely to happen due to Josh Perrys injury record at St Helens, therefore he will be watching the play-offs on the television in the comfort of his own armchair due to the said injury. icon_wink.gif

Not a patch on Prescott from what I've seen, but very useful to have another experienced player in the pack when someone is out injured. A very smart signing.

Not seen the replay of the game yet, but being at the game I wouldn't have Hock or Cross near the team next week, providing Prescott is fit. The game at times seemed too fast for them, which led to errors and penalties. Now is not the time to integrate new players into the system for big games. Use them both for rotation for some of the other league games.

I may be being harsh, so will see if Sky+ changes my mind.

Absolutely - not the worst performances I've seen from either, but that won't be enough next week.

Hansen and Prescott (if fit) for Cross and Hock.

Cross reminds me of Pongia, he lifts the team when he comes on regards intensity. Still not fit but given a like for like performance compared to Leuaki, stunned if we have signed him as regardless on his potential gifts he is totally lacking mentally.

Would much rather Cross for another year.

No, after watching the game (without the Chilli Doritos I'd hidden but the kids found icon_cry.gif ) I wasn't being harsh.

My worry is that Faz looks to have had the confidence knocked out of him a bit and "Tough Club" isn't working at the moment - he looked a bit lightweight at times, lacking aggression.

Yes, I don't think that's too far off.

I agree about Cross, but bearing in mind he's our 6th choice prop, I was kinda glad he was on the field, if only because it allowed us to rest Hansen.

Not wrong, but we have very little time left, and all hands needed on deck....
