When Pat came over he was never really a renowned kicker. We moulded him into one when Dobson and Orr left. So in that respect it is difficult to say with anyone having the potential to step up when the time comes.
Josh Charnley has kicked goals in the past. He looks capable. Sam has kicked a few as I'm sure the Leeds fans can testify.
A successful and reliable kicker is a pivotal asset to any side. It is in this respect that I think Jamie Foster is gaining a bit of hype. Goal kicking aside (along with that audacious haircut) I don't understand the whole euphoria surrounding him. Josh Charnley looks a far better prospect. Bigger, stronger, faster, better footwork, younger and doesn't have a daft hairstyle.

Josh Charnley looked to have a good boot on him earlier in the season. He could really become abit special with that skill added to his armoury.
Who kicks for the 20's?

In the U16's
Lewis Tierney (England goalkicker)
Ryan Hampshire (England Goalkicker)
George Williams (England goalkicker)
and then there's Callum Wright and Grant Beechem.
I don't think we're too bad off for young goalkickers.

| Just look at his statistics compared to CharnleyI know stats dont tell the full story but they sure show how much work Charnley gets through compared to him. Only thing Charnley seems to struggle with is the amount of errors he makes but that can be wiped out the more games he plays.

Very promising talent from what I've heard.

| haha. don't understand all this talk because of his hairstyle ( ronaldo is the second best player in football) it called being young and modern and thats what people his age are at. his goalkicking is fantastic for such a young lad and think he should only get better.

Young and modern?
As has been previously mentioned take away his superb goalkicking ability and he is more like Darrell Goulding. In any top side you need a finisher like him to score tries, but I wouldnt have him at Wigan over the current players and youth we have.

He is from St Helens and has a broad St Helens accent.
And his hairstyles are fun. He's a really nice bloke. Very down to earth.
I'm happy that you all don't think much of him. I think he's great. Not only is he one of the league's best kickers at aged 20 but he also has excellent positioning, is secure under the bomb, has great pace, reads the game well, has excellent ball control and isn't shy of making a tackle.
