Interesting.
Is that confidence, arrogance or blind hope?
Also, i don't know where this confidence that J.M won't do well is coming from.
He may not be the best in the league but he isn't rated TOO highly by anyone. People seem to be intimating absolute failure. I think that is unlikely'"
If you want an unbiased opinion pop into your local bookies.

Well put jinkin.
Was looking at the odds at the weekend.
6/4 to win SL
6/4 to win CC
Very stingy odds indeed. Bookies seem to be even more confident than us.

The bookies had the rhinos out of sight this time last year.
I see the pies finishing 3rd or 4th. Then anything can happen in the play off's. Who's in form, who's fit, long term injuries to key players. It might come down to the bounce of a ball. but this season is a whole new beast for you pies.
The champions get it tougher week in week out than anyone else.
Every team has a years worth of video to copy the winning style and to try and stop it.
The refs have a year of video to see what new tricks the coaches have brought in and to shut it down( you wernt the most penalised team for nothing)
You arnt the surprise package anymore
All the expection is on you then wire.
Leeds and saints will be hurting and hungry and out of the spot light, hudds even more so who are a real threat.
You have the distraction of the world club and your star players will not have had the full preseason due to the amount of lads playing international rl
I appreciate wigan were deserved champs last year. I dont know if you will win it again or not? But the task is so much bigger than last season for sure.

| If we are good enough we'll win it, if we're not we won't.
We won't use injuries, WCC or players on tour as an excuse.

The big difference between Wigan next season and Leeds after their last win is the fact Wigan will have a considerably stronger squad going in to it, compared to the GF winning team. Not only do we have the three Melbourne players coming in, but we'll also have people like Roberts, Mossop, and Hock back competing for places as well. Leeds didn't have this improvement going into the start of 2010 from the end of 2009.
If it took other SL teams and coaches a whole year to work out how we play, things are much worse in SL than even I thought.

| Apologies, got confused, my odds were from Betfair, and I have just rechecked them. CC odds were unavailable.
Odds on betfair are 2.54 (just over 6/4) and to 2.58 to win the GF and league leaders not CC.
