Before he got injured he put in several good, first time tackles.
The Salford try was lucky, that kick was going dead before it was touched. By Micky Mac I think but I'm not 100% certain.'"
Hey, fair play to the bloke if that was the case. I never noticed an injury at the time.
It was a very fortunate try IMO.

| Fielden was missed less than I thought he would be because O'Carroll & Prescott stepped up with their game.
Salford won't play much better than that this season, although if they do they are better than many of us think.
From the last few seasons when we've had an underpowered front row we can now take on the best. Fielden's improved contribution is a massive factor in that.

| We were quite flat today, but thankfully still had enough to win the game. Yes we made it more difficult for ourselves than we had to, but it all boils down to fatigue. However credit where credits due to Salford, if they continue on like they played today they'll get a fair few results go there way.
I believe were the only side to come out of this three game period with maximum points, so that achievement on it's own.
Hopefully we can rest those that need it the most and hopefully be rejuvenated for are game against Quins. In the meantime it's Sheffield up next, it'll be interesting to see what McGuire's team selection for that game is.

From what I have seen from McGuire, I wouldn't expect anything other than the best team available. Bring on the Eagles...

| Threads like these should be locked IMHO.
They're an open invitation for people to slate players of a team who are ATM playing superbly. Whether we 'missed' Fielden or not it doesn't matter, we came away with 2points and IMO that's all that matters.

No idea. Wasn't there but isn't it great to have a coach who rotates the squad?

Neither was I but yes. Regardless of what happens on the training field, how fit the players are, whether they defend in 2's 3's or 4's, having a squad of players that will be rested or dropped if necessary is a great motivating factor and will produce better results all other things being equal. Fringe players know they will get a chance if they work hard in training and first teamers know they will get dropped if they don't perform. Fantastic situation all round imo.
Can't comment on Fielden today obviously but he has been great for us this year. I think its great that people are starting to notice the contribution that Lulu makes to the team both in attack and defence, he was fantastic V Wakefield last week and I genuinely believe he has been one of our most under-rated players over the past few yeas.

| I don't think we missed Fielden too much, although his presence would have probably made us slightly stronger.
I thought O'Carroll was very good today.

| Quote: cadoo "This is getting very boring now. Riddell, Roberts and now Fielden.
We missed Amos Roberts and Thomas Leuluai today. Our attack was quite slow compared to the Wakefield game. Cameron Phelps was all at sea today IMO. Gave some awful balls to Darrell Goulding and was in the wrong place a lot in attack. Put his hand up a few times accepting that he was out of place. A bit rusty, but I will cut him some slack because he has missed a few games.'"
And all started by the same person. His hero Riddell gets injured amd we soldier on just fine without him, so he tries the same tactic now with Stu. Why rise to the bait?

Very true, was our best prop by a mile yesterday. Prescott still making the same stupid errors though which is starting to become the norm every week for him, he needs to step it up or could be in danger of losing his spot.
I felt we missed Fielden's experience but the squad is good enough still without him and yesterday will be a good rest for Stu after the hard graft he's put in all year.

| I think he was missed but luckily not too much that is cost us anything, hes a big piece in our jigsaw and when he doesnt play it means other players have to step up alot. Eamonn and Prescott did well but they both still have along way to go in their development IMO. Anyone got yesterdays stats.

| We didnt miss him because we won but he may of helped make it a bit more comfortable. We cant play the same team every game so it was the right time to rest him imo.
