matt king stuck his fans up at us (warrington fans) for giving him stick but did we moan about it making excuses saying oh kids were around or i am reporting it to the RFL. we just laughed.
so for anyone who is saying "my kids were around so it was disrespectful", dont be so bitter because the amount of banter that happens in rugby with the songs and the rest all has bad language in. what about when you lot sing 'w*nky warrington'? do your children ask why you are singing that? no! or when there are players fighting on the field? do you think that is appropriate? no!
everyone who attends any rugby match should expect swearing, violence, and gestures with whatever they signalise. so for myler and mathers to give the v's then that is nothing compared to what normally happens in a rugby match!'"
Lol, best laugh I've had all day. Cheers
I don't get the bit in bold, does it mean 'successful team'?

| Heat of the moment that's all, if I were mathers I'd have done the same. They both probs regret it.
Definately does not warrant a complaint, kids see a lot worse on their playstation!!

Get off your soapbox. It's the unprofessional manner of the two Warrington players in question which people have brought to attention which is different to a alcohol-fuelled supporter in the crowd.
To be fair it's not a massive ordeal, Nick NJ sums it up quite well but conversely I can understand why some fans might take offence, especially in what seemed to be an already hostile environment which can antagonise the crowd further.

4916_1342356991.gif Rugby league must be a great game to survive the people who run it.

Was thinking much the same myself and have always stuck up for Richie Mathers and felt sorry for him because things didn't work out for him with us but the more I think about it he was the architect of his own demise as I think he had as many red cards in his time with us as tries scored so inevitably the times when he was unavailable due to his enforced suspensions someone else had to fill the fullback's role so getting back into the team became harder for him

To be honest, I think his red cards came simply from a lack of confidence and trying to hard to improve. He clearly wanted to be successful here, which nobody could doubt, but when every man and his dog started getting on his back, it started going wrong for him. I don't blame him for feeling a bit bitter, but its unproffessional to stick the v's up at the crowd, I don't think much of him now tbh.

| and Wire fans call Sam cocky and arrogant? They need to look abit closer to home with their own halfback pairings of fat s*it and little s*it.

Was it from a Wire fan though? Only 2 posts from this poster, so maybe it was a wind up? Surely not even the extras from Deliverance that make up much of Wire's fan base are that stupid...... are they?

| I have always thought Mathers was up himself after seeing him in Australia when he was with the Gold Coast, he was strutting around Wet n Wild water park in his speedos with Danny Mcguire thinking he was the dogs . Shown his true colours on Saturday!!

| When did this incident happen?
I'm presuming after Mylers try but haven't seen the replay and was stood on the other side at the game.
I saw earlier him denying it on Twitter but haven't got a clue personally.

| Personally, I didn't see Mathers do it. I saw Myler make a gesture, but I didn't realise it was a V sign. If it was, he certainly needs telling by someone.
