| I thought Tomkins did well, his biggest plus being that he wasn't afraid to stand toe to toe with the opposition.
Of course there has to be a suspicion that his performance was based quite significantly on the Aussies dropping off in the second half, but that can also be said about the whole England side, which improved dramatically in the second half.
Still not too optimistic for next week though....It just seems we have a mental problem of not being able to perform for 80 minutes...Either that, or we just aren't good enough??...  |

We have been too dependent on the scooter hooker die with the ball hooker for too long. I've been moaning about it for years, at last I have got at least one supporter. |

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good

sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league

Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate

I have been saying Sinfield should play Hooker for quite a while now. Then leave a spot on the becnh for extra punch in the pack which we will need against aus and NZ. |

One Thing that needs to stop is the Flat pass. it is a waste of time.
9 out of ten times the attacking player is still juggling the ball during impact with the defence. Either that or there is a knock on. it is very in-effective.
We need to get players running from deep ASAP.
IMO the flat pass is a lazy way to play the game

Look at the way the Aussies played right to left today all stood back their passing speed was un-real. We will never have that when all SL teams play the flat pass game. It bugs me they dont have any plan b we just start playing panic rugby. |

It could of been stopped had Smith and McGuire not been the worst defenders I have seen in 18 years of watching international RL!
Hudds have shown on a few occasions how to defends against it when they beat saints. |

Said it on the ground..........Burgess had to show himself to prove he could play NRL (as Ellis did last year). He was the only player imo that can hold his head high and say he beat the aussies
