The problem here is the moment Feka and Fielden came on i would place a bet that almost every Wigan fan expected them to take the game to Warrington and build on the foundations that Prescott and Coley had laid. I bet not many Wigan fans disagreed with Nobles substitutions at the time they happened. It was not Nobles fault that both F+F were both awful yet it is so easy to sit here now and say its all Nobles fault for making the wrong substitutions.

RJH Feka and Fielden should not have been on the field at that stage, obviously they have to come on but only when Prescott and Coley showed signs of dropping off the pace, which they did not. The momentum was fully with us and Morley and co were coming off second best, why change it because the clock says we should, let them continue and introduce the bench when needed not when the stop watch says you should.

Not really. Fielden hasn't taken the game to anyone in God knows how long, and as I've said, it was utter stupidity to bring Feka on when we're about to kick off to the opposition other wise there's a chance, as was the case today, that he'd be knackered by the time we finally saw any of the ball.

Now it's not Noble's fault that Feka is in the awful state of fitness (or rather lack of it) he is but it's up to Noble to give him the best chance of being effective as possible, and today Noble did not do that.



I disagreed with the substitutions at the time for the above reasons, plus that fact neither Prescott nor Coley looked to be struggling at the time.

But again this is with hindsight, the same as Leeds dropped right off against us when they took buderus off the field.

In both cases, at the time the coach thought they were doing the right thing.

Bad tactics by Noble today.

O'Loughlin and Bailey were clearly not match fit and the deciison to bring on Feka and Fielden at the same time was barmy.

But our point is that the coach should know better, seeing as half the fans do.

Who says they should not of been on the field? Are you saying no coach ever brings fresh props on after around 20 mins? Had they come on and then destroyed Wire i very much doubt you would be praising Noble for bringing them on. Instead youve done the usual thing and took a cheap swipe at Noble. Bringing F + F on at that time has many times in the past got us on the front foot. The idea was they would improve on what we had already done with Coley and Prescott.

Dont let the fact that Bailey went off injured around the same time cloud your judgement that maybe that also had an effect on the team as a whole.

i think you will find most fans don't agree with nobles by the clock subbing, why when we are kicking to wire would you send feka on!? why not wait till they have had their six?.
this was a major cock up by noble.......... again

Half the fans do with hindsight, if it had gone the other way (and quite easily could have) then how many people would put their hands up and say "I thought noble did the wrong thing to bring them on, but it worked out well"
