A mates wife who's a nurse has been drafted to one of our local hospitals ICU units over the festive period. She informs us that 70% of Covid hospitalisations are Patients who haven't been fully vaccinated, and that increases to 90% in intensive care who haven't been vaccinated whatsoever!
Our gallant NHS staff are working 13 hour shifts over Christmas and New Year, tirelessly, missing family life to care for these selfish luddites who, frankly, didn't give a . Apparently. there are now several regrets.

I’ve just come off a Christmas of sitting with my unvaccinated sister in law and bro in law (who refuse to get it but don’t have any reason whatsoever not to) who have no problem keep going round to her 75 year old mothers but make it clear it’ll be us who have passed the virus to them should they get it. We’re all triple vaccinated and yes we could still pass it to them but I’ve got this whacky idea for them…get vaccinated. I suggest the same thing when they moan that people don’t wear masks in shops.

You’d get more sense out of the Turkey.

Please send me the peer reviewed evidence that that government/ sage used to rebut their previously held views that that masks do not need to be worn? A date of their statement and the precise evidence would be appreciated.
At the beginning of COVID the government / sage stated that masks gave little or no protection against the virus.

100% it's just a cold & even that's "bigging" it up.

How do I know this? I've wasted 7 days of my life over Xmas (complete with 2x positive LF tests and a positive PCR test) for something that was as potent as a weak hangover for a max of 48hrs.

No sarcastic quips to put down the opinion of others. No need to listen to the word of mouth from friends & no need to listen to experts. I'll take my own, lived experience. Thankfully the gov seem to have woken up, in the right way for once, and are resting calls for lockdown.

The only credible answer is vaccination and infection. Actually vaccination and re-infection. That is the only answer full stop.
The latest news is that omicron gives protection against delta which is brilliant news.
