Without knowing if you have played at any level (i presume you will have). Giving Joel the ball to Joel was exactly the right decision. I would go as far as saying it won us the game.

If a teammate of mine did what Joel did, i would be patting him on the back, because he never let Yeaman away with it. Winning the fight and intimidating your opponent is a big, big part of the game.

Many will disagree, but Joel did the right thing. You never heard (many) people lambasting Kelvin Skerrett for chinning someone.

Wigan over the last few years have lacked in dishing it out and people have taken liberties as a result. Yes it is not ideal losing players for a couple of games, but if that is the way it is going to be then so be it.

The only thing wrong with the way it was carried out on Sunday was Joel's poor technique let him down. He tried to run the ball into Yeaman like a prop would, (hitting him hard in the chest and then moving upwards to knock him on his ) and got it all wrong. He'll work on it and come back a better player for it.
