20333_1393344959.gif Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_20333.gif |

| I leave it up to Madge and IL, unlike were under Noble we could argue what we should have done and what we should do under IL and Madge I have complete faith and trust in them to bring the right people in, if we go out and sign Ricky Bibey to play organising scrum half then so be it.

I agree, and what a good feeling that is!! It feels like the club is in good hands and, for the first time in a while, almost all the fans (always a few moaners) are behind the club and team 100%.

| Quote: Rogues Gallery "On the Fielden issue. He's been here for four and a half years.
I don't think he's missed ten games in that time. How many other props are that durable?'"
Very true Rogues, and i do also struggle to think of many games we've lost due to any lack of go forward or aggressiveness from our forwards. James Graham for example is a fantastic player, but his actual strength this year in particular is not the metres he's making each carry (it's less than Fielden for example) but the actual workload he puts in (or maybe has to put in). I am not convinced that we desperately need a prop (and certainly no more than 1), especially for the sake of one going round smacking people - a prop like Graham i'd take, but not for anything to do with 'biff'

Completely agree, when you look at the top props in SL and to a certain extent NRL, the days of props going around smacking folk have gone. When you consider Graham, Peacock and Coley (this season), they're putting in too much work to waste time intimidating the opposition. Read an article somewhere yesterday - Eorl Crabtree laughing off his tag as an enforcer, claiming he was too busy playing to worry about belting anyone. Same goes in NRL - generally the current Rep players seem to avoid provoking trouble, they're just happy to deal with trouble that comes to them.

2553.gif I've seen them bomb a quarter final, bottle a semi final, finish as league leaders, but I've still, never, seen the Wire win the league

i just hope IL plays backseat in player recruitment - if it were up to nobby riddell would never have been here and we could well be watching michael ennis. i know all is rosey now and im loving watching wigan bt i just hope the guy who is mainly responsible for this team - maguire - gets the chance to recruit as HE wishes.

Am sorry, but there was about as much chance of us signing Ennis as us signing Cooper Cronk now.

I remember Maurice Bamford being furious that we'd signed Henderson Gill against his wishes to
And Alex Murphy about Graham West

In some situations it's proved to be ok, or would you rather not have had Gill and West, and Roberts? It all depends on your confidence in the coach, i have confidence in Maguire, I didn't in Noble.

I think it also depends on whether or not your coach has a fair understanding of the salary cap. I have it on pretty good authority that Nobby didn't always appear to.

You mean Monie didn't want Botica. He wanted Phil Blake instead.
