Spot on! The min we start being ok with third place finishes and classing 5 semi final losses as progress is the moment well never win anything again!
Not being the top team will and never should be ok for WRLFC IMO! |

Indeed. Neither should fans of this great club be happy with semi final appearances. One of my fondest memories was at Burnden Park in the Challenge Cup Semi Final when we smashed Bradford to bits 70odd to 6. In the 2nd Half and after Wigan's umpteenth try Andy Gregory walked back to his position on the field he gestured a hand to mouth 'yawning action' to the Wigan fans, such was our dominance. Superb to watch at the time!!!! |

I find that this 'It's okay to take part' brigade tend to be of the younger generation, i.e. they never experienced the 80s/90s domination period thus they don't know any different. Not only do the Wigan club need to recover 'The Winning Culture', so do some of the supporters. |

At half time Greg waited in the tunnel for the Bradford coach (IIRC Peter Fox) to come into earshot and shouted to Joe Lydon..."Hey Joe, do you think we should declare now !!".............happy days !!!! |

| I know, I know, stop coming up with ideas and get a flag ordered...
According to my count there are flags representing most aspects of the Wigan culture. Mentioned on this thread are flags with the riversiders name, ancient and loyal, lancashire, northern soul, a legend flag and a history/slogan flag. But no pies. They think the name is an insult, but we should be pie eaters and proud.
So here is one last idea, redesigned so it shouldn't cost the earth.
There is no point in me getting a flag, as I am a category E fan (E for Exiled). I couldn't get a flag to enough home games, let alone away.
More than happy to pay into a flag fund though, whatever flag is chosen, but would need a willing volunteer to cart it around. |

My "WE HAVE ACHIEVED WHAT YOU CAN ONLY DREAM OF" flag arrived today, im absoulutely made up with it, its perfect, hundred times better than I expected, barmy flags were brilliant, delivered it to my house personally. Id love to upload a picture but my email isn't working and its just a picture on my phone and I havn't got a digital camera!!!
