39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

| Does that 18k include the wire tickets?
Even if it doesn't I really think this game could sell-out. You would hope that wire will bring similar numbers that they took to saints and we can hopefully sell 2,500 ish tickets within a week.

It's there in OUR programme on page 23. When I read it this morning I thought to myself: "s@*T!!! I really thought we'd won that game".
Looks like they use the same editor/ proof reader as Rugby Leaguer/ League Express.

I find it strange that they have stated 18k. Surely they should have got an update from Warrington, as the 18k figure is wrong if the figures on here are right.
They may have sold 20k, and that would have been a far stronger message and forced plenty to get out there asap and purchase them.

A much higher following than what? The game is a week away.

24k to sell in total
According to most we have sold 2k of 5k
Wigan have just under 2.5k left of around 19k when you take away our 5k
= over 18k sold

To fill the North Stand you need to sell 5402 - can you do that cockle?
We have sold over 75% of our tickets. You have sold about 30% of yours.

| Well one EastStandFaithful for keeping going with the updates.
If we have 2.5k let to sell, that woul mean we need to shift 400-500 tickets a day. Is this expecting too much?
Why have wire ticket sales been so slow?? Or is it the CCup semi that seems to be catching the wire fans imaginations... I think I read in the guardian that wire had sold over 8k for the semi?

Yep, you are right, I wasn't aware that the away end held 5402 tbh.

Why do you think 2k sold a week in advance is slow?
I would expect a fair amount to be sold tomorrow when we play at home. I know my family and friends are picking theirs up tomorrow.
With regards to your tickets, I would expect you will easily sell them, one or two good days could do that. You got over 18.6k for the Quins game, so you shouldn't have any issues getting most of these back for this top of the table clash.

I would suggest its a slight dig as some Wire fans take much glee out of the fact that tickets purchased for previous big games were in favour of their club (both in quantity and in the speed they were sold).

Fair enough, it seems a strange point to try and make, and certainly to me!

Because the wire have sold more than 8k for the semi and that is weeks away. Yet only 2k sold for a top of the table clash...
I remember earlier in the season wire taking 5-7k to saints for that clash because they thought it was there "chance" to beat saints.. Are wire fans not feeling too confident about Friday? and this is affecting sales?(Like saints fans did a few weeks ago for the Derby).
I really want a sell out for this game as the DW is a great standium when full for big games and to do that we need warrington to sell out the north stand...
