| I don't remember my first trip to CP - must have been 4 (in 1962) when my uncle took me. Apparently, I was a bit bored and in the 2nd half kept asking to go home. Wigan were losing by about 8 points, so my uncle decided to leave with about 10-15 minutes left. Wigan scored 2 tries in the final 10 minutes to clinch a dramatic victory!
My first actual memories must be the summers of 63, 64 or 65 when I went to the pre season 7s tournament - balmy mid-week ( Wednesday?) August evenings when Wigan usually managed to win.
Got my 1st season ticket in 65-66 ( still got it!). Child ground ticket for the whole season cost 7 shillings and 6 pence - 37 1/2 pence. Not bad value. Having said that, so is the child's South Stand ticket at DW stadium (£13).
Manly 87 could never be matched, but those of us who were there 3 times in 5 nights for Mission Impossible in 91 (Castleford on Sunday, Widnes on Tuesday and Bradford on Thursday when Wigan came back from approx 18-0 down with 25 minutes to go to snatch a draw) will also never forget!
I still wish Wigan could have stayed at CP and developed it further ( another stand at the Spion Kop end). Unfortunately, we ultimately had to do what DW wanted.

| Bradford at home.
On a wet and a cold night and for some reason it strikes me as being a week night although dont quote me on that.
We won by a very unusual score and Gary Connolly scored late on with a 1 on 1 ball steal to win the game.
I was only about 6 i think, but the atmosphere was great.

| As a long lost Wiganer and new to this Forum my earliest recollection of Central Park is it costing me 3d. (threepence) in old money to watch a game in the "hen pen" behind the sticks at the players entrance end. Oh, happy days.

Clinch went back to Halifax then ended his career at Salford.
Goldspink also went to Halifax then went home to Oz to coach after they released him after 2002.
Danny Moore played 16 times for London in 2000 and twice for North Queensland in 2001 before retiring.

| My first game at Central Park was when MartinOffiah scored his ten tries against Leeds. What an amazing atmosphere and I loved the fact that at half time many fans swopped ends to watch the seond half.
The ground staff were always friendly and one day I was by one of the stewards that I was not allowed in by the gate because the players entrance was further down the ground. Well being 6ft 5" at 13 years old, I would have loved to have played on the famous pitch.

| Being a Saints fan I have three that stick in my mind:
1. Lancs Cup Final in the 84/85 season
2. Boxing Day 87/88 season
3. Good Friday 92/93 season
As you can see I may be a bit biased but being honest I used to love going to Central Park.
The atmosphere in the kop end was fantastic but the one memory which will always stay with me was a bad one.
It was the Good Friday game in the 92/93 season when we drew 8-8 and when the great Kevin Ward's career ended sadly.

| I hated Central Park.
It over shadowed my little, crap Football club.
I don't like the DW either. The Rugby team is the only club that has brought it success.

I assume this has been 'edited' as well.
