Some poor performances today. As much as Eckersley has been lauded over recent weeks, he looked out of sorts for most of today and its possibly time to take him out for a week.

I thought Eckersley was one of our better players today, it’s Keighran who needs dropping, him and Miski don’t offer a great deal in attack

We were awful for 70 minutes of that game but Hull played brilliantly, felt for so long we just needed to put our heads down and play basic rugby to get ourselves on top but we couldn’t do it.
We still showed champion spirit for the last 10/15 and really should have won it imo, 4 minutes to go with all the momentum and only 2 behind, we didn’t need to do anything crazy and the early grubber kick was not needed with numbers out wide, with Hull knackered we could have barrelled forward and probably got a penalty to tie it. It’s a kick up the we need and we need a massive performance next week, lose that and its game on for 1st/2nd.

Miski is a very good squad player but his lack of pace stands out when we are needing to go full length. I understand his first thing is to come inside at times due to his lack of space but had he backed himself im sure he would have got over with his strength after the Ellis pass. He was still great bringing it in and I’m happy with him in our side, he was not the reason we lost.

Just write it off and forget about it, we have these games, everyone does.

Exactly, we lost away at Wakey at a similar time last season and then won out the season I think, could be the kick up the we need but no Field and French is worrying.

Hull played very good and deserved their win.

Credit where credit’s due, FC fully deserved the win today. A side lacking in quality but full of guts and derermination, that’s what got them over the line.

No team can play well every week, we were poor. It was the errors that did us more than anything. We only really played for about 15 mins and came away with a 2 point loss.

I don’t think any individual deserves particular criticism, it was just a collective poor game, it happens. Move on and don’t dwell on it.

All the top teams have games like that every season. Nothing for you guys to be concerned about. I don't think you were terribly poor, Hull started very fast and were positive and aggressive and you just didn't quite match that. Then when you were on the back foot the errors started to creep in. I'm sure you will shake that performance off immediately.

Well played to Hull, deserved the win and showed some real enthusiasm in defence and attack.



One of those games for Wigan where we make too many errors under pressure at times from Hull and never got into the game.

Eckersley looked a real threat running out wide and showed some nice cut out passes too, just needs a bit of work on defence but looks a real prospect for the next few years.

Surprised we only used Bryne so sparingly, he showed some real aggression when he came on which was good to see.

In the scheme of things it will give us a nice wake up call to keep up the effort and concentration over the last half of.the season.
