Haven't seen the stats, but I'd guess our completion rate was up close to 90%...I don't recall too many unforced errors from us...but lots from Hull. Always going to be that sort of game...we played wet weather rugby; they didn't.

Very true and you can't blame them for that. Its all about the win, not the performance.

Funnily enough a certain Stains fan did the same a couple of years ago after the win against Leeds - both really sad and really funny at the same time. Like you say makes this pint taste all the sweeter.

As for the game, I'm just sorry that having Wigan and Hull CC 1985 being considered a classic that we have now managed to undoubtedly produce the worst final in living memory, not least because it was bloody boring to watch.

I've nothing against Wigan. Deserved the win. I just hope our match next week is far better as a spectacle.

The conditions dictated the final but it was a kicking and defensive masterclass to nil a team the quality of Hull who were in very good form coming into the game.

We will be at least the second most successful team this year, and can tear into the play offs with nothing and no one to fear.
