| You've also got to bear in mind when considering price increases that we had a price freeze for a couple of years so we are still playing a bit of catch up to bring us into line with what the other clubs charge. I think we're on about the same level now though.
Also if I'm correct in saying 10% of gate receipts get paid in rent then a £1 increase is only actually an extra 90p in profit to help cover our overheads and make the club more sustainable.

| the rises [iseem [/ireasonable & won't stop me shelling out in the next couple of days (not for the TV thingy though, made me mind up that it's a waste of time).
But it'd be nice if a full breakdown of the expenditure was made public (without having to go to Companies House) - I know they don't have to, but it'd still be a "nice to have" & it'd stop a lot of bellyaching that goes on at the end of each year.
Just a thought

Even with a discount for early renewal, it's £201 for terrace, and £231 - £286 for seated (dependent on whether the seat is behind the posts or adj, half way line) for a ST at Wire although I personally prefer the atmosphere generated from the terracing. What you're being charged at Wigan isn't that bad in comparison, especially as you all get a seat .......
Does get me a bit worried though that, at a time when there are so many grumblings about the importance/quality of some league games, most clubs have still put another few £'s on last years ST prices ...... only time will tell if sales are down!

Attached is a comparison with the prices charged over the years for my area of the Boston Stand.
Season Ticket Prices - East/Boston Stand - Adult - *Silver - (match day)
2000 £150 (£12), 2001 £120 (£12), 2002 £140 (£14), 2003 £145 (£14), 2004 £145 (£14), 2005 £145* (£15*), 2006 £145* (£15*), 2007 £141* (£16*), 2008 £150* (£17*), 2009 £188* (£18*), 2010 £188* (£18*), 2011 £206* (£20*), 2012 £216* (£21*)
I don't think we've had too bad a deal over the 12 years.

We are the most expensive as far as I can see/know we are the most expensive. Our cheapest ones are on par with most clubs mst expensive tickets.

I've only checked St Helens and as far as I can see it's £30 more for my equivalent seat with them. Which clubs have you looked at?

Wigan are one of the cheapest priced season tickets when you compare like for like. Check Leeds prices for behind the posts and compare them with our South Stand prices.

| I didn't check Leeds I looked on the club sites whilst ours wasn't launched. St's Wire, Hull, wanted to check out Leeds but only found that you had to register t get a price I got told about Bradfut prices. The others I didn't bother looking at. I was only looking at the cheapest prices without any renewall discounts to try and get an idea of prices.

So how could ours be the most expensive before they were announced?
It looks like some of our "supporters" just like a moan without substance.

The "we're cheaper than the rest" argument has no substance, because nobody is arguing that we aren't cheap (one person that got his facts wrong). I swear some people like to read whatever they want rather than what is actually written.
The argument that costs for the stadium have gone up has no substance either because our co-tenants managed to cut their prices ( www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... le-2148442). I believe they had a price freeze last year as well.
And putting "Supporters" in quotations makes you look about 12.

| So I'm being asked to buy 4 season tickets without any information as to:
The fixture list
Any indication that the league games will mean anything in terms of prize money
Any indication of what the end of season play off structure will be
Seems that my loyalty to the game is being tested out here.

| The fixture list is a tough issue though. No one has any idea about the number of sat/sun/mon KOs. This alone is a deal breaker for me re STs. If its not Friday it's unlikely to suit me personally so I'll be buying game by game as last season.

2553.gif I've seen them bomb a quarter final, bottle a semi final, finish as league leaders, but I've still, never, seen the Wire win the league

I'm not having a go at the club, i actually think season ticket is decent value for money, but I'm tired of hearing that argument in life generally. its a nice get out of jail card businesses use when they dont want to have to admit they're after a nice wedge.
also, as jinkin jimmy said, seems everything is going up but our wages. cant last.
