| It's a test of our professionalism and that's it really. Turn up like we would any other game (and did at Cas in what would have been a tough environment) and we'll win. Go into it cocky and we may get shown up, but it would take a real big effort from Widnes as well.

| I was thinking about this yesterday - with Wane saying on his appointment that he'll be blooding the youngsters, and with Hughes and Spencer playing due to others injuries, is this not the perfect game for someone like Russell/Powell/Tomkins to get the place on the bench and come on for the last 20 minutes?

| Look people, you need to get real. You're coming to Widnes to get a real pasting. If you're lucky we'll let you get away with a 40 point chasing.
I really feel for you but you'll have to take the rough with the smooth at this level

no-one is meant to know about the plan until we start piling on the points on Sunday!

| Erm: Crusaders 22 Warriors 16 (June '09)
Or has everyone wiped that from their RAM?
I've no doubt Vikings will come good, but only if they have the same professionalism as the French & not (as was suspected from the start) the Welsh (and not for a while yet, please )

Not quite sure what you're saying here. I haven't seen any over confident posts. Everyone seems to be saying if we play to our potential and don't underestimate them then we'll win. Would you disagree with that?

No I wouldn't.
My point is that we went to Newport half-cocked & underestimated them badly. That's the sort of result that does happen every now & again when a squad is complacent. For all the guts Cats showed at the Stainers a couple of weeks ago it was the latter who turned off in the last 20 minutes thinking "job done".

| more fussed over their pitch to be honest, could be some nasty grazes
but still i dont think this game is a "points difference" game, we already have the best attack and defence in the league on points don't we? if we turn up and want to do the job it SHOULD be a win for us, i wouldnt like to hazard a guess on the score as i reckon widnes are starting to get a little riled up now, especially with the Betts / Wigan link. should be a good game!
would like to see amos given some time in this one. if he's gonna be wary of playing SL level again we may as well throw him in this one so he worries more about the pitch!!

| I presume the lads will be kitted out from head to toe in Lycra or such, to prevent these nasty abrasions from the plastic pitch.
Listening to Wane on the website, it sounds as though Russel will be inline to make his debut. In fact he say's a couple of debut's, so it leaves me wondering who else will be inline for a debut?

| Not seen any odds but I expect the bookies to give Widnes at least a 30-40 point start.

| I think Wane will be looking for the 0 on Sunday if you listen to his comments after games and in interviews he is big on defense and if Hull kr can 0 them we can
It looks like a nice day weather wise and i fully expect to see that ball being chucked around as much as possible and i've said this to quite a few people i think our attack this season is the best we have had in years
When Widnes was on first game of the season v Wakefield in the first 20 mins they was camped on Wakeys line and couldn't do anything i txt my mate during the match saying 'i'd be worried if i was a Widnes fan' and his reply was 'no good scramble from wakey' which i dont think it was they looked clueless in attack and panicked most teams would have been 20+ up
