Edwards won't quit his megabucks contract with Wasps and the Welsh rugby union.
I'd love to Faz back at the club in some capacity.

| I'd love Faz and Edwards to come back ot the club, it must hurt them to see the club they put so much into playing ike this.
Faz and Edwards sharing teh helm, would be fantastic, only problem is, I don't think they'd take the risk of being involved, and it only getting worst. Maybe if Wane took over for a few months, withhim getting the team to show some potential in couls sell it too them..

But he's made a major turnaround in a particularly under achieving Wire side.
Any number of percieved second rate Aussie coaches could improve Wigan to be challenging for trophies, look at Brown at Huddersfield. If he can improve them to the standard he has, what could he do with a better squad of players?
You just need someone who can actually coach.

Wrong as usual BK
I personally credit Smith the coach we should go for at the end of the year for putting into place the structures that generated the success at Bradford.

| Wayne Bennett will not leave Australia to coach over here due to his disabled son, this has been stated in press before FACT
we should be going for Chris Anderson or Mal Meninga

Would he leave the Queensland job? I doubt it.

| Not one of these 'mega' Australian coaches will come over here. Simply it is not worth their while. Nobody can pay them enough to take such a step down. Would a Harvard Professor teach at Bolton even if his salary was doubled? I would suggest no because of his self respect.

It would probably be better to get somebody in who has worked under Bennett or any top NRL grade coach with a good pedigree and learn some of the moves the Australians utilise.
I'm talking within the backroom staff rather than as head coach. Bring in somebody like that along with the likes of somebody like Ellery Hanley working with Noble and we will improve our ability to put together a complete plan of action on a team before kick off. Get ourselves a leader on the field to compliment O'Loughlin and we MIGHT perform.
To chop and change will lead to failure again.

Melborne Storm did this with Craig Bellamey. Hardly a bad choice by any measure.

| My 1st choice would be Tony Smith, but my 2nd probably Shaun Edwards or Andy Farrell.

| I don't know if it's been mentioned before but WB has a disabled child. For this reason he has ruled out coaching overseas.
Edwards is always number 1 choice (also worked under Bennett) but is also unrealistic at this stage.
Shaun Wane has done a great job with the lower tiers at Wigan. Maybe giving him till the end of the season could be an option?
