We could have had the Harlem Globetrotters turn out for us and Lewis would complain about the forward passes. Small town clubs do not fit in with the RFL's current remit; it's just going to be a gradual phasing out until this plan has achieved (despite the fact that the Premier League thrives on 'small towns done good') |

Not sure if it thrives on them though. Wasn't too long ago that the 'top' clubs wanted to reduce the number of clubs and allow fewer fairytale stories in football's top flight.

And the reason it never happened is because the Premier League realised that people do like to see the little guys have their moment in the sun every once in a while, and at the end of the day people power rules in this sort of business - sadly the RFL seem intent on creating more and more games that are devoid of any atmosphere because away support is non-existent. |
