Well Thrustons off the wish list
sportal.co.nz/league-news-displa ... wboy-91002
Sad for RL in general as the report states that Israel Falou is about to be signed by the Melbourne rebels RU side. Looks like the Cowboys could only afford to keep one and opted for Thurston.

Melbourne RU (read already in debt ARU) paying over $Aus 3 million for Folau. Big gamble that.

That wouldnt suprise me. Pryce has moved in front of him in the pecking order now by the looks of things. Weve got Goulding, Richards, Pryce and Roberts who are all in front of him imo, it would make sense to get rid and use the money in other areas.

| Quote: jonh "When he has played hooker he has been poor, i have no idea why people keep coming out with the statement that he is a hooker. Yes he played that role for the Kiwi's but he has also tried time and time again in our team and it has failed.
I am also fairly sceptical about him not being an organiser, when he was out we were all over the place when he returned the team clicked and direction was returned. He is not the finished article but he is getting there, i think the stick he gets about some aspects of his game are totally unfounded when you actually look at the evidence this year when he has played hooker and when he has been injured.'"
Agree with the above.
I feel as though we have sorely missed Leuluai when he's been out of the team in the games at Salford, Sheffield and at home to Quins. We look a much better side when him and Sam are the two halves.

20333_1393344959.gif Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_20333.gif |

In the Challenge cup semi against Saints last season he ripped them to pieces, I would have said he was a big game player TBH.

great news for RL though.'"
According to the Super 14 Magazine show on Sky he plays for Melbourne and has been lured away due to the massive financial crisis at the club, they even did a bit of a segment about it, set of muppets.
Regards Falou, he showed awesome promise but has faltered somewhat in my opinion, from being potentially one of the greatest running centres to have played the game, he seems to have become a 1 trick pony standing on the wing only used for the high kick to the corner.
Shame he has crossed codes but in truth I do not see him as a massive loss to the code. Thurston would have been a massive loss great news he has remained in the code, in truth I was slightly sceptical of which position he would play in union, and was far from confident he would become the star and saviour of the Aussie National team that some were hoping for.

No way out of them 3 should Coley be released.
Fielden does a decent job for a prop, just (as everyone has said for so long) not for the money he is on, on a cheaper deal he is one of the most consistent players in the squad so atleast you know he will always have a decent game.
Feka, while Iv always been a big fan of him, is looking like he might not be part of Maguires plans. That or Maguire sees him as a work in progress and is using him in the reserves to allow him to train harder.

3076_1671446335.jpg SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS
For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.
For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.
Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_3076.jpg |
|
| On the Fielden issue. He's been here for four and a half years.
I don't think he's missed ten games in that time. How many other props are that durable?
