Hypocritical of Warrington to allow their fans in the Wigan end when they have placed special signs to prevent Wiganers entering the other areas of the 'stadium' https://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_kxdsn3naXE1qa9i3bo1_500.jpg" >

Quote: Nogga "Just been on to the Wire ticket office and anyone who ordered online have to pick their tickets up from their club shop. Thats unless you payed the extra fiver. I was under the impression when i ordered that delivery was free but apparently thats not the case. You can pick them up any time between now and the game, including game day itself.

Just thought i'd clear this up for anyone expecting tickets to be posted out.'"

That is indeed the case (thought I would double check). Apparently just take your e-mail confirmation along and voila.

My mate and his pals got locked out last time you brought a few down.... I think the same will happen again as im sure they hadnt got their tickets yesterday....

And shock of all shocks.......they love coming to warrington in fact its the only away game they never miss ( the above game being the exception)....
however if you come here looking for nob heads you'll be sure to find one...and visa versa....

a great game is in prospect but i'm sure this board will be littered with the "a lad in a tracksuit swore at me on saturday night" posts after the game. and from the same suspects as well....

like I say my mates have travelled from Wigan for Friday night, saturday night, and sunday afteroon games, and drank in my local on plenty of occasions and have had No bother.......

you just have to be sensible and watch how you go ......
this is a rule for life in general not just a passionate sporting occasion....

A colleague of mine last week was robbed of his wallet, his phone and his Car at knifepoint on the car park we use in Manchester, he'd have swapped that for being called a fat pie eating Ba****d any day of the week.

have a safe time and I hope you lose

Quote: Katrina "There was one guy at the back of the stand I was in for the friendly being really aggressive, and i'm sure it's the same guy who kicked off at the semi at Widnes. He's a big fat bald guy who was just wearing a blue t-shirt with yellow hoops, which is weird as it was baltic!! He was mouthing off, swearing at kids and old women and was pretty intimidating. It was only a bloody friendly!!'"

I saw the same bloke at the bottom of the stairs near the toilets, he was shouting at anybody wearing Wigan colours, surprised he was'nt thrown out by stewards to be honest, I suppose you have to try and just ignore it, but it can be intimidating.

There is another alternative which I shall be exercising and that is to watch it from home. Category Z fan, I know, but I made the decision a while ago to boycott HJ. I hope you enjoy it without too much grief to cope with. I personally find it's not worth it.

Fair play mate, I try to attend as many matches as possible both home and away, the HJ is one of my least favourites, as was Wilderspool. icon_sad.gif

Because of a minority who make it just too unpleasant an experience. The last straw for me was the behaviour of the natives during the Catalan Semi Final at your neutral (lol) ground.

ATEOTD it's only a game of rugby. I won't miss the HJ and the "house full" signs will certainly show the HJ won't miss me.

I don't do many away games for various reasons. I did go to the Catalan game at the HJ though and it totally bemused me why the Warrington fans behaved in the way they did. Admittedly it was a minority, but to be waiting outside the 'Wigan' stand for the Wigan fans was quite an unusual thing to do. Personally I couldn't care less what they did and I can rise above it, but I soon found my self reversing back into the stand, where the stewards locked the doors, due to Warrington fans kicking off with Wigan fans. Now I'm not painting the Wigan fans out to be all sweetness and light but this sort of thing doesn't happen in this extreme with us and any other club.

I have never taken my 6 year old to a Warrington game for this reason. Not that I think he'll get attacked but I don't want him to see drunken morons, from both clubs, mouthing off and fighting. He's gutted about it really because I've instilled a hatred of all things Warrington from a very early age icon_wink.gif

It stuns me thats theres a ground in superleague that fans feel unsafe enough to stop attending. I honestly have never felt intimidated at any superleague ground and I include the Boulevard in that(which had a very bad rep).

It's a real shame if people feel that way and everyone has the right not to attend the games but i'd hope if an incident did occur involving myself i'd think 'sod that these idiots aren't going to stop me attending games' but until anything actually did it's hard to say.

I was in the West stand that day and didn't anything apart from bit of swearing between Wire and Wigan fans didn't see any fighting though, guess it depends on the the person having been to Woodison and Old Trafford as a Liverpool fan guess the level of things I can accept at a match is pretty high.
