That is not my recollection, I could be wrong but having watched him, in my opinion he struggles when kicking from the left hand side of the pitch.

Well have a look on the other site where someone responded to your post.
It was 6 inch in from the touchline.
Bang in line to where Marshall scored.
How many did he miss from the left tonight?
2 from George and one from Marshall.
3/3
PS
I do think your right that he's better from the right than left
However
I still think your using this point to "have a go" when nothing had been said for the previous 6/7 games.
I could go on but I won't, but as someone else on the other site mentioned it's strange how some people start to post when wigan are losing.

I am sure you could go on. You have tried to turn a simple observation of mine that I think our goal kicker kicks better from one side of the pitch than another into "having a go".
Despite agreeing with what I said. Well done you. I am sure there is some logic in your head that justifies this somewhere.

Well done on only quoting the where I agreed with you and ignoring the other points.
Did you or did you not see the reply on the other site to your incorrect observation? That's what I pointed out along with someone else's observation that certain posters seem very quiet until a loss.
3/3 last night from the left and all of them were actually more or like the 10metres in you described last week.
I agree on the better from the right point of view as I guess stickers will be better from o e side or the other or will have a preferred side.

| He's not a good kicker, but I can't believe anyone expected him to be - he didn't kick at Catalan.
Once again we've gone into the season with no recognised kicker and it seems have just picked the 'best' kicker from the players on staff.
I can't think what the plan is should Tomkins regain his FB spot and Escare is left in the reserves.

| I don't see how Escaré can be dropped on current form. If ST did come in at FB, surely we'd have to find Escaré a wing berth? He offers too much to the side to be dropped.

In a fully fit squad I'd be really struggling to leave him out but I think I'd have to!
Assuming all fit and in form, Tomkins, Manfredi, Gelling, Gildart and Burgess would be my back 5 but Escare would come in before Tierney.
When Sam is ready I'd put him straight in and Escare and Burgess would be my wingers. Tough on Tierney but that's sport!
It's a great problem for SW to have.

| I just think it's unlikely that this mythical day in the future when we have 'everyone back' is unlikely to ever come about. That would be most people's favourite back five too, but the question mark must be against Manfredi; will he ever be quite right again after such a long injury lay-off?

I agree mate. I can't remember a good Friday (for example) when Wigan have gone into the game with anything near a full strength squad to choose from. I long for the day when we can play a full strength Saints with a full strength Wigan!
The only positive is that we have probably unrivalled depth in the squad. With regards to Manfredi, only time will tell. Same with McIllorum and Sam I suppose! Here's hoping!!

| Escare has been an excellent signing.
Where he will play when Tomkins is ready to return will be a problem for SW.
At present Escare looks a very good full back, good tackler, very good under the high bomb and now begining to link in the line hence his two tries against Cas.
In view of the contrasting form of our half backs I'd be more inclined to play Sam T alongside Williams at half back.

At the start of the season, when we had a strong squad, Tommy was really guiding us around and allowing Williams to run riot. With a few more experienced players coming back I can se his form picking up again and certainly wouldn't move him yet. I'm confident we'll get back that slickness we had in attack before the injury curse kicked in again!

While we're waiting i'd be tempted to tinker and move Powell into the halves and Tommy to hooker,it's not working at the moment so something needs to be tried.

I was surprised that didn't happen on Thursday when Powell came back on after cracking his ribs. Even when Powell went off it was Williams that went to 9 so I guess Leuluai at hooker is a very latter option.

| I don't think there are any major issues with Leuluai at seven other then the fact he's missing a whole heap of strike players around him. He should've had Bateman, Gelling and Tierney (or in an ideal world Manfredi) outside him and if he had nobody would bat an eyelid about his form. The facts are he's had different second rowers plus a couple of young kids in the centre/wing positions and it's tough.
We had this last year were people spoke of our faltering attack. It's faltering because it's missing its major attacking weapons, not because of tactics or because of individuals under performing. Take Messi and Suarez out of the Barcelona team and see if they'd keep running through teams.
The centres are the big issue for me yet I blame neither Forsyth or Isa. They both received some top quality ball last week, in good positions and they couldn't do anything with it. One is a young kid who'd be better served being eased in playing in a strong team or maybe on the wing and the other is a loose forward/prop with no pace and not the best hands you'll ever see. I'm praying Gelling is back Friday and we go with him and Joel in the centres.
We're doing it tough but we'll be fine.

| Agree about Tommy (although he was poor against Cas) and the centres. Of course, we might reasonably have expected to have Bateman as an option in the centres, but that's closed off to us too now.
