| Bringing Sam back has cost the Rabbits a season. He has lost power and just generally looks shot from playing for over two years non-stop without an off season and RU trying to turn him into a centre.
As for Joe, like Hardaker and Eden he just looks physically weak in comparison to his opponents. Both also show poor technique near their own line bringing the ball out, allowing themselves to be pushed back rather than hitting the deck. If he were to stay in the NRL he'd need to bulk up considerably. On the plus size apart from the fact the try wasn't awarded it was a superb finish. He'll come back to SL and be a star.

| The Aussie commentators are ultra critical of Rabbitohs this season because of their poor performance in the league and anyone with the name Burgess is attracting more than a little flak.

| Watching him in the last few games, I think he's developed a habit of trying too hard in an attempt to prove himself and ended up making more errors as a result. It hasn't helped him playing in two poor sides either.
With the Wigan hat on, I'm delighted he's coming back next year, but at the same time, from a general English RL perspective, a little disappointed he's not staying out there to prove himself. In the right team I think he could make a success of it and develop himself more than he will coming back here.

True. It may take him a while to build it back up but I'm sure it'll come. He'll get enough space in superleague to allow him to breath.
He could do with coming in to a Wigan team playing with more confidence and attacking intent then the current one though.

| Starting to find his feet, 3 tries last week and a good game tonight. I think Wigan are going to get the benefit of a bigger, stronger and more complete player next season.

| I think people need to put things into perspective. The lad is only 21 and has a couple of years experience at first grade.
Add the fact he's been left out at the Roosters for most of the season into the mix and think people should cut him some slack.
Being back in familiar surroundings at Wigan next season with shelter from Aussie press will undoubtedly help him get his confidence back

I know you say don't respond etc. to trolling and I get it but this fellow is going all over other fans boards winding them up (probably more than on here) and has been for the past 6/9 months.
Can anything be done by Mods (Should it?)At what point is this picked up on (And action taken)?'"
It's a pity there isn't a facility to block him like you can on other social media sites.

| He had a solid game against the Sharks, with the glaring exception of one awful drop when a precise chip over the defence left him only needing to catch the ball at chest height and fall over the line. Sadly it slipped through him, but to his credit he stuck at it, and produced that great finish in the dying moments of the game.
BTW I just watched Tommy in defeat against the Tigers. The Warriors go out of 8s contention with that home loss, but once again Tommy had an excellent game, organising the left side attack to great effect.

| Phil Gould described his time in the NRL so far as one of rocks or diamonds. This was again summed up by his latest performance where he took a pass from Inglis broke down the left wing showing real pace, stepped in an he approached the line was hit by the cover defence and had the ball stollen off him in a 1 on 1 tackle just prior to crossing the line.
He has made some very strange errors some that were harder to make than actually undertake a skill correctly but he has also shown some really impressive glimpses as well.
The Roosters played him on the right where he looked lost at sea but he has done great to come back from that experience and start to show what he is capable on the left for Souths.
He has clearly packed on some size and doesn't show signs of slowing his pace. He clearly has some issues with his skills, particularly catching kicks, but hopefully we can keep working on this. He is a confidence player however he is also a natural finisher with a strong kick return and will be better for the experience.
I'm sure he will be right back up there at the top of the scoring charts in 2017 assuming we do something about our attacking style in the offseason, but I also think we need to accept there are always going to be the odd brain fart or 2 a season that will lead to us conceding points also.

That's one of the things that I know Wigan and the Aussie teams were working on. I'll just be glad to see him back at Wigan next season, it's just a pity about Manfredis injury as I feel we would have had the best pair of wingers in Superleague.
