I believe we're looking down that route. Remember we have the Joel Tomkins money to pay the transfer fee.
I'll be ecstatic if we sign Rangi Chase. He's one of the best players in this league. Sam Tomkins should have been MOS last year but Rangi Chase deserved to be in the top three. Him and Sam in the same side is a frightening prospect. The way our dummy runners create space for outside backs him and Tomkins with their footwork, balance, acceleration off the mark and speed is a mouth watering prospect.

Got it in one. I would rather have Brough but I'd take a Chase/Smith partnership.

Imagine if you had kept Eden, Arundel, Shenton (albeit he has returned) and Westerman with some other players like Lynch, Manu & Brough.
Greg Eden
Kirk Dixon
Michael Shenton
Joe Arundel
Richard Owen
Rangi Chase
Danny Brough
Andy Lynch
Daryl Clark
Craig Huby
Brett Ferres
Willie Manu
Joe Westerman
A completely different team. You'd certainly be challenging with that side.

I think he may be referring to Clark and if he is he's right to be fair.
Some great players have come through at Cas but then they always seem to move on. It's the price you pay for being such a small town punching way above it's weight. They're a cracking club....even if they don't like us much.

Richard Fa'aoso was a beast the year Cas had Manu too, he would stroll into the team anywhere in the pack.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

Chase has done a great job trying to do so much on his own at Cas. If he came to wigan he would have his role and it would be alot more manageable. I think we would see the best of him. He has the ability to break the line and that is something we need.

| I am worried the club would accept the £350k. But i wouldn't. I would hold out for the Half a million.
The worry around the club, Is that we sell Chase, And none of the money will go back into the squad.

[quote="headhunter":lnxdgxk2]Union people are idiots. They almost universally accept that league is a better, faster game played by better athletes, yet for some reason they continue to disregard and belittle it. That game is tedious as hell from start to finish. If he'd ever played or even bothered to give more than a fleeting chance to league he would realise that the game is far more 'technical' than Union ever could be. Booting the ball into touch, scrummaging and forming rucks and mauls aren't areas that involve any skill, technique or mental capacity whatsoever. These are clumsy, outdated facets of the game that are also extremely uninteresting to watch and thus have to be defended in some way by people who are too prejudiced to see the truth.[/quote:lnxdgxk2]: |

| Poor mans Tommy but still probably one of the top 5 half backs in the league. Best realistic option available to us so get it done I say. My only fear would be is he too ball gready and is he enough of a team player, but certainly has it individually.

Clarke is the one I'd pay for - even though I like Logan Tomkins.
He's going to be a star.

The reason why you should stay and Wakefield should lose their license.
You fulfill the role of actually producing young talented (although flawed) players. Wakefield just leech off everyone else.
