Last couple of years I have parked at Ickenham.
Nice run down M6,M6 (toll), M42 then M40

Ickenham is about 4 miles straight off the end of the M40 - the parking is free at the station.

Tube to Wembley Park is around 7 stops and takes 20 mins.

Has been good also for getting back to the car after the game as most people seem to be trying for tubes going back towards London so not too much of a crush.

Look in the areas/stations North/West of Wembley on the Met line

Thanks sirlesboyd but all trains on the chillerton line are down that weekend due to maintenance.

IF i ever move out of London and was coming from the North West my tactic would be come down the M40 (avoiding the M1, the bane of my life) and parking around Hillingdon/Ickenham avoiding most of the traffic and using the Met Line to Wembley Park.

As it is now, i just jump on at Stanmore

If your doing M40/A40 route you can park at Perivale station there are two car parks. And then catch the 297 to Wembley high street or park.

My office is on the estate next to that car park

Stanmore all the way for me. £1.50 all day parking and three stops to Wembley. The last 2-3 years, its always been quiet on the tube back to Stanmore and you are straight out of Stanmore and onto the M1 - if thats your route home.

Stanmore also has a wetherspoons about 5 minutes walk from the station car park - which means cheap beer as well!

Does anyone know if there's on-street parking at Stanmore as well as the station's car park? A little concerned that by the time i get there it may be full...

Driving most of the way tonight to break up the journey at Premier Inn for £30 (the Mrs has a back condition), then parking at Hemel Hempstead tomorrow - big 24hr car park, £7.60 return on the train, 16 mins to Wembley Central.

I'd sooner go by train all the way & back but I'm driving to Welwyn Garden City after the game for a birthday bash.

Go down to the next station down from Stanmore on the Jubilee, Canons Park (Whitchurch Lane)

Close to the station is a road called Longcrofte Road, plus a few surrounding streets (check google maps)

There are parking restrictions Monday to Friday but none on a Saturday and Sunday, why pay when you can park for FREE.
