You have asked for peoples opinions and they have given them. I dont see anything unreasonable about Wire in any of the posts on this thread.

It was a bit like someone saying: "Let's not fight, but first can I just smack you in the mouth."

Where did i say that? The key word in my comments was "might". I do think next week is a big one for you to smash Bradford. Wigan last year, every time we lost, bang straight back with a win! That's all I said.

I lost count of how many times we were written off before yesterday's game. Let's not write wire off as they did us. That said I don't think well lose another home game. Win at hull on Friday which will be far from easy and I think we'll do it. (hope so I backed us to finish top in jan)!

I disagree. Wigan will still win the wheeltrim and be in the GF at the end of the season, probably winning it.
Reason is, I have a feeling that this is the turning point of our season now.

| Quote: cadoo "I just can't see Wigan taking the foot off the gas at all. Our squad is incredibly disciplined, driven and so focused. In the last few big matches (Saints, Huddersfield and Wire) our players have been so immersed in their desire to perform that they've absolutely destroyed three very good sides. At times they look possessed. It's fantastic.
Squad depth will be pivotal and Wigan have the strongest strength in depth in the league. We have Liam Farrell, Chris Tuson, Stuart Fielden, Ben Cross, Eamon O'carroll, Darrell Goulding, Stefan Marsh etc who all could have played.
We will have to use our strength in depth to mount a serious challenge for both trophies. But with a set of props from - Stuart Fielden, Andy Coley, Jeff Lima, Paul Prescott, Lee Mossop, Ben Cross and Eamon O'carroll. A set of back row forwards from Ryan Hoffman, Harrison Hansen, Gaz Hock, Liam Farrell and Chris Tuson. I think we'll be fine.'"
well put.
and.......our proffessionalism under Madge.
did everyone notice yesterday we had TWENTY players doing the warm up routines??

Ludicrous post. Keep peddling the anti-Wigan propaganda in a desperate attempt to re-write history.

| Why? We've already shown..Why we are champions, We've backed up big games before..The WCC took alot out of us this season but i think we learnt alot from it. literally 2 Easter weekends..The fitness of the players, I'm very confident we can go out and perform, The result on the day is a different matter. I won't be looking at the CC final as an excuse lets just say that. ( if we get there. )
I don't want to sound too cocky as results on the day can depend on numerous factors but i see no reason why we couldnt do the treble. We're very capable of doing so. (obviously a dodgy call or a silly penalty could cost us) but thats rugby league. Backing up big game after big game is is the difference between a good side and champions.
Happy to be a Wiganer right now. Ancient and Loyal!

| I posted that the loser of the CC would have the better chance to top the league, easy games on paper become more difficult when semi finals and finals are being prepared for or players are recovering from them.
Talking to some Wire fans this morning Briers calf injury is a big blow, Morley is struggling so two key players missing when the team needs a pick up. If the Wire stay on track it will prove they have that mental edge thats needed to be a GF contender.

| The Dire were the favourites for the Challenge Cup at 4.30pm on Saturday - didn't do them much good.

| Tony Smith eluded to the fact that Wire couldnt or probably didnt focus on the league for the last 2 years with the obvious distraction of the cup.
IMO there are still some very interesting twists and turns to come this season leading up to the play offs, all i will say is that with the players Wigan have coming back from long term injury will put pressure on players and there places so for there sake they need to concentrate fully for 1 game at a time.
Interesting to see IL saying we can do the double, nice little challenge for Madge and the boys !

Well he has to say that!!!!... I feel that the Hub Cap is the hardest title to win. Looking at this season, IF, nd it's a big IF, we progress to the final of the CC, i feel we have the squad to still win at OT, even if we finish 2nd or 3rd in the league. Saints would still be the team i would fear the most, despite Wire playing so well at the moment. Wire are probally favourites now for the Hub cap, but not sure if they have the mental strength for the stresses of the play-offs.
Cue Ron.

| William Hill:
Wigan are 8/13 to top the league and Wire are 6/4.
Bookies are never wrong, except for last Saturday.
