| I am surprised that this has got to 14 pages.
Nathan Brown is only guilty of saying in public what any coach would be saying to his players in the dressing room.
A lack of diplomacy in a moment of frustration. Poor practice but not the end of the world.

| The bit about Nathan Brown and Maguire having abit of history makes the game next week more exciting, Brown looked in pain when we were blitzing them in the 2nd half and Maguire was happy as a pig in shÃt. Interesting

| Keith Mason giving out "some justice"?
Would that be the same Keith Mason who soiled himself when he played for Stains when Pongia as much as looked at him?

123.jpg No trees were harmed during the creation of this post.
However, a number of electrons were mildly inconvenienced.

| Can anyone tell me at what point in the game it happened?
I haven't watched it back on TV yet, but I want to take a look and see what the whining little girl is on about.
I only had the couple of replays on the big screen to go off, plus the TJ saying that it was shoulder to shoulder but a little late.

| This off-field tough talk seems to be typical of a certain type of Aussie RL guy. Down Under you've got the gentlemen of the game - the Darren Lockyers, Mike Maguires etc - and then you've got the gobshyttes. Some Aussie journos were insensed to the point of wanting someone to "shut Leon Pryce's big mouth" because he joked that he'd rather be on Blackpool beach than Bondi Beach. Mark O'Meley was famously quoted as saying that, if he'd been playing on the day Mason knocked Fielden out, he'd have been up there swinging with him. This is the same Mark O'Meley who so far is making almost no impact on the British game. Mark Carroll came to GB on a tide of tough talk, and got battered from pillar to post. And now we've got Nathan Brown, who seems to have a similar indiscreet attitude to public pronouncements.
Whoever expressed surprise that this topic has got to 14 pages was right. We should all have a giggle, and then move onto something much more important.

It's a shame, cause I really thought Brown had grown up and learned from some of the bull he did at St George.

At what point in that game did Mason play the hard man and win against Pongia, like he tried to do in the the 2003 league game and failed miserably? Sounds to me you're still drunk on finally winning a cup final against us after ALL those years.

| Just watched the highlights and as Leulaui goes in under the sticks there is a deliberate trip attempt on him (33 - Horne).
It's amazing the little things that go un-noticed isn't it?

Fair play to Thaler he noticed and had a word before the conversation. Thought it was Brown, however drink had been taken at that point so my memory was a bit hazy.

Did he really say that? This the same Mark O'Meley that got pasted by Sculthorpe whilst playing for Australia, despite the fact that Sculthorpe was already preoccupied with pasting Craig Fitzgibbon?
Tough man.
