Content that is a little tribalistic and provocative is probably like marmite but it attracts some attention and creates some talking points.'"
To be fair, they've done well as you say. I do think fan channels like that is something Rugby League needs more of, to build exposure but I think you can be entertaining and a bit more balanced than the main guy is. You choose your model I suppose and take what comes with that. They'll get pelters when they lose and views will be well down when they win and that is the nature of the beast.
I watch bits of the Leeds one as well (The Lot Pod) and that is another that is totally focussed on just their own club but that will again just come down to the mentality of the people running it. The Superleague Raw Podcast is run by Wire fans but is one that is focussed on the game and not just the club and to me, it's the one that does the best job.

| This week's favourite bit of RedVee-ism is that it's no coincidence that players get banned when they seriously injure Wigan players as if there's some kind of shenanigans going on! If only we could get a few more season ending injuries hey? We'd be well set for the title with all those poor players getting banned

James Roby to be honoured by St Helens Council.
Whilst I have no problem with James being recognised and honoured but the paper headline goes a bit too far. Roby is not Saints ‘greatest of all time’, Alex Murphy was streets ahead of him.

| Quote: NickyKiss "The guy makes no apologies for how Saints focussed Red Vee TV is and I can at least admire his honesty but without blowing smoke up your lad and his mates podcast, I'd much rather have something like they're doing associated with the club. They have a laugh, stick the odd friendly dig in to Saints or whoever but are totally balanced and don't just focus on Wigan. I actually feel for one of the two blokes who usually does The RVTV stuff (Kev I think his name is) because he does seem pretty balanced but the other guy can't help himself and it comes as no surprise when he mentions he's a football fan because he's taken it down the path of channels like Arsenal Fan TV, where it's total one eyed drivel.'"
The other bloke is Dave Lyon he's a Everton fan

Do you know me? By the way do you think that Roby is Saints greatest ever? If so, why? I think we should have a debate.

Lol. Why are you putting words in my mouth? I’m just saying you never saw Murphy play. No need to start deflecting because you know I’m right lmao

What are you on about putting words in your mouth? I’ve asked you a question that’s all! I would have thought that was an easy one for you to answer, especially given that you know that I have never seen Murphy play and yet you have never met me.

| Enjoyable game last night - Saints poor with the ball and vulnerable out wide but still a great defensive side in the middle of the field.
Did leave me wondering though whether Liam Moore actually knows what a chargedown is? He didn't restart the set after Huddersfield charged down the initial drop goal attempt - brought back memories of Wigan Challenge cup semi final last year.

| Two try’s one off an interception and one was a barge over which if Connor was paying attention would have been harder to score you’d imagine. They look to be reliant on putting small kick in to score. Saints just seem predictable. I will applaud there intensity that last 20 they turned it on. Huddersfield really looked good was impressed with their. Kick chase. They should have targeted that hurrell Makinson side more hurrell look like he was running in treacle at times

| Big pressure on their forwards to maintain their standards now that Walmsley is out for a decent spell. Paasi isn't too far away apparently, they could seriously do with him hitting the ground running.

| The first half was as flat as I've seen Saints on both sides of the ball for a long while. Even against Wire in the cup we didn't see that lack of intensity. If Huddersfield had Marsters alongside Swift I reckon they've been another score or two clear but Bibby had an absolute nightmare. As usual with Saints, they show fight and desire and managed to hang on and turn it but they won't be able to afford too many performances like that against Wigan, Wire, Catalans etc. If they play like that away at HKR next week they'll get 30 points put on them.
