| Quote: NickyKiss "Just mentioned in the Cooper thread that good coaches seem to make good signings and poor coaches make poor ones. I’m convinced if Saints and Woolf had signed Peter Mautautia, Joe Bullock, George Williams etc, they’d all be flying and had Powell and Wire got somebody like Hurrell, he’d still be the overweight liability he was at Leeds. Teams get so hung up on fixing problems by signing player after player but the man in charge will always be the most important. It’s the same with Man Utd in football. All I hear is their fans screaming for new players but if the new manager is worth his salt, there’s plenty of talent he can turn around and get playing better already at the club.'"
True, look at the difference especially in attack that Rohan Smith has made at Leeds, it was too late to really salvage this season but I think we’ll see a much more competitive Leeds team next year.
As for the game on Thursday you guys should be looking at another convincing win, we’ve just got too many players either injured or suspended to compete.

| Cooper in the squad for Nsemba is the only change.

I said at the time that, you guys sacking Agar was bad for Wigan, but good for the game. I can't, for the life of me, understand why he was your head coach as he was easily the worst one in SL.
I think you'll cause a few upsets over the next 8 games.

| Think Cooper will start from the bench and they’ll make him “earn” his starting spot.
Wane picked him to start for England so must rate him ahead of Byrne, Havard Singleton etc.
You’d imagine he’d come in for Partington but Ellis seemed to be favouring his ankle at times. So wouldn’t surprise seeing him having a week off.

I'd keep KPP in the 2nd row, thought he was an absolute beast there last week

Agreed, KPP isn't a centre.

Yet he's the best one we've got and played a well before his injury.

| KPP isn’t a natural centre but I’d certainly play him there when everyone is fit. I think he’s in our best 13 at centre but not at second row, simply because we have Bateman and Farrell. I’d keep him in the second row this Thursday however.

When Ellis came off last Friday he was put in a boot as soon as he came off but came back on later .

| Same side as last week for me apart from Cooper on to the bench for Partington.

Yep - shame to see the Leeds side so disrupted by injury - that's two weeks in a row now that has happened. Hopefully Wigan won't take the result for granted of course but the extent of the injury lists across the league is really damaging the product.

| As a Leeds fan I was looking forward to Thursdays game, we put a strong team out at Hull but since we seem to be missing key players, its better for the sport as a whole if we show competitive games on TV. Anyhow the bookies are giving you guys -12 .

| I'd be surprised if Wigan don't win by at least 30.
