| After watching the game at leigh think that we will struggle at 6,7 and 9 if we have injuries.

| Good observation Bear, you were outplayed in that area allday, even when we had our reserves out.

| I thought only Greg Burke of Wigan really showed up today.
I was disappointed with Wigans starting front row of Dudson, Tomkins and Taylor, and as you say that gave the Leigh pack dominance. They also exploited the inexperience on Wigans right edge (Burgess a winger playing centre and Manfreddi)
You mentioned the Wigan 6 & 7, but I think you're being a little harsh. Powell had to pull out through injury leaving Hampshire, normally a 6 to fill in at 7 and Carberry normally a hooker or back row to fill in at 6.
Just another point have you ever seen a game where a team has not been awarded a single penalty in the match?

| With regards to this 'partnership' we have with Leigh and dual registration.
Does it work both ways? i.e. If we had an injury to a first team player in a key position could we 'borrow' such a player from Leigh as cover?
With this in mind how would the Leigh fans feel if this happened? On one hand your player gets SL experience and allows him to develop, but leaves Leigh short for a number of weeks.
Their 7 had a blinder today BTW.

Tomkins is far too sluggish at dummy half. It makes it so much harder for the forwards to get any sort of momentum.
Burgess at centre seemed like a daft choice. His defence is still pretty weak and they ran rings round him, while Gelling looked uncomfortable in the back row too.
Hampshire was unfortunate that he had to do the work of two players in the halves. Carberry isn't creative enough to play hooker so putting him at stand off was just crazy. Doran, Tomkins or even Connor Farrell would have at least helped provide more creativity in the halves but instead the team had virtually no chance of creating anything. Carberry defended well, but you'd never pick him as a stand off.
Still, it's not a huge surprise that the team struggled. Leigh kept it smart but simple and waited for the youngsters to make a mistake and then exploited it.

| Quite dissapointed with the performance, when i saw the team we put out i feared we would get beat but to not even get out of the blocks was quite painful to watch, first half thomas coyle destroyed us down our right wing and second half bob beswick destroyed us all over the park, its quite ironic both of these players are ex wigan academy products, have to agree with rouges gallery only Burke muscled up today in defence and tried to create something in attack but the lad cant do it on his own, the only other player i though deserves credit was dom crosby ran hard and true, scott taylor will be lucky to make the bench this year, keep the under 19's in the unders 19's next time shaun, some good rugby from leigh in spells so take nothing away from them ! I think i need a drink after watching that one!

We're not in an official partnership in the same manner as Swinton/Wire, Hunslet/Leeds etc so no short term duals are allowed, only season-long loans. Under the previous system players could go in both directions, which was why Chris Rowe played in Wigan's under 18s and 20s last season even though he was our player.

Do we know what injury Powell pulled up with? I was looking forward to seeing him play

| At least there is nothing wrong with our stamina seeing that we scored last.
On the match itself,in the first half Leigh made numerous breaks down their right ( Wigans left)and made the Wigan defence look poor.
In the second half Leigh just broke straight down the middle time after time.
The only players who impressed me where Hampshire,he never stopped trying to organise but with little support and Murphy for the way he took some very difficult high balls.
As for the pack,I thought the Leigh pack bullied them and none of them rearly stood out.
The last statement may have something to do with not knowing many of their names.

| If I'd known it would be as poor as that I'd have pulled a Liam Ridgewell with my £13 why we didn't play more first teamers today is beyond me what's the point arranging 4 friendlies when only 3 have any element of first team about it, Leigh are dreaming if they think 2014 is a realistic target for Super League they were beyond poor today they must have knocked on 5 times in scoring positions, 90% of today's side won't even get a look in when it comes to the first team so why not play a blend of youth and experience using the likes of Lloyd & Gelling with Hansen, Hughes, Lauaki, Prescott, Tudon etc. I'm sorry but Thornley will not make it at Wigan he is hopeless under the high ball and countless times he forgot he had a Winger on the outside of him god help Richards if Thornley is ever his inside man. Logan will never be better than he is now he is at his limit now and why Taylor played today is beyond me it was his debut and I don't think he played much more than 20 minutes in the space of two spells on the field.
