Always a legend for the last man standing drinkathon he embarked (and won I think) with the squad after the Grand Final.

I loved him as a player and along with one or two others defended him from many of the scapegoaters on here in his early days at Wigan.
Great, clever hooker, and sadly missed at Wigan this season, and so much better for the team than the head down @rse up hookers that are the current vogue in this country.

Agreed, gutted he has had to bow out, been playing very well from what I have seen for the Roosters this year as well. Real shame when someone has to bow out before there time. |

| Didnt set the world on fire in his first season at wigan by his own admission, he looked unfit and had many people wondering why we had signed him!
I can remember the reaction of many supporters sat around me when Riddell trotted out for the first time following a pre-season under Maguire - many didnt recognise him!
It was at that moment that i realised that things would be very different under Maguire and it certanly turned out that way!  |
