T'was all a bit weird. I've not exactly had good experiences of Rangers fans in the past, but can't knock them today - behaved impeccably and a very well-organised operation, the bill for which is being footed by Rangers themselves (presumably it works out less than the risk of a fine for any trouble!)

I'm afraid that, in my experience, they are worse than other clubs, but it certainly doesn't represent the majority of their fans, I'm sure. |

Unfortunatly everyone seems to have tarnished all rangers fans the same with what happened in Manchester in 2008. 100,000+ fans coming to manchester. There was always gonna be the minority that started trouble espicially with what happened with the screen. Unlike a final abroad, there was no way of stopping the trouble makers coming down, unlike if it was abroad and they would have there passports taken or checked before travelling !!

The baffling thing was, a lot of places in Manchester that sold alcohol where advised to close, yet Whealan opened the bars at the DW these guys to have a beer !

In my experience the police have no problem with fans having a drink, they simply prefer them all to be together either on the ground or in a pub. It becomes a problem when fans are scattered and they can't keep tabs.

The sainsburys I work at in manc had to stop selling beer for 9 hours but it wasn't neccessary, I saw three scottish lads all night and they were together. |
